BA was this morning! Quite a bit of pain afterwards, but doing ok now with meds. Here’s my story
First, I want to say that I have been thinking about this day FOREVER. I wanted it in high school, college, law school, etc!!! AFter nursing the kiddos, I ended up small than I had always been from the 22 months of nursing! Since, I done with kiddos - it was time for ME!! Last night, picked up my meds – doc gave me Celebrex, Oxycodone and Zofran for the nausea. Then I showered with the antibacterial soap and got ready. Took my relaxation pill and wen to bed. Slept good until 4 a.m and then couldn’t go back to sleep! Too excited. Arrived at doc’s center at 7:15, ready to go. Changed into gown, got to keep my socks and undies on. I was glad because my fee always freeze. The anesthiologist came in and started my IV. LOVED her because she injected some Lidocaine first in order to insert IV line. I have horrible veins so this really helped a lot. Doc came in and we went through everything again. My hubby asked a couple because he hadn’t met the PS. Doc worked his magic and and drew on me in the purple marker. I was really glad when he asked “Do we need to discuss size again?” I am glad he asked because hubby didn’t necessarily want me to have more than full C. Doc led me back to operating room, anesth injected something in IV and I don’t remember anything after that! Woke up in recovery REALLY thirsty and my chest felt sooooo tight. Not much pain at that point. However, within a few minutes my righty started hurting, so they gave me some pain meds. I woke up again an hour later! By that time, I was ready to go so I was discarged. As for size, we were shooting for 34DD. I was starting with a full B (could fit some 34c’s), so I ended up with325 implants filled to 350 cc implants and 360 on other side (smaller one). He thought it would take 375 to 400 but guess not! He told me after surgery that I had more breast tissues than I thought. They look awesome – are pretty high (went under muscle) but I can tell they are going to be perfect size! They look like they did when I got engorged while nursing my daughter and I was a 34DD/ E at that time! No strap, surgical bra, nothing but the bandages on incision. Doc has no rules on bra/strap, said I could wear a bra (without wire) as soon as it felt comfortable to do so but he recommended nothing for first 2 weeks. I’m going to go get some of those support camis for going back to work. Think I’m going back to bed now! Thanks for reading!! |

Thanks everyone! Unfortunately......
Unfortunately, I took a turn for the horrible on Wednesday after surgery. Started throwing up all meds and had horrible bowels if you know what I mean. In addition, I spiked a 102 fever. After going back to doc twice, it was determined that I just horribly had gotten the stomach flu. HORRIBLE TIMING.
Friday was the WORST, I couldn't keep anything down including meds. So I was in horrific pain and sick as a dog!!!! I just wished the whole thing hadn't happened. Woke up Saturday still feeling really bad but my fever was down to 99.5. Finally kept some food down and after switching pain killers 3x's, got one that would help me out. Doc went ahead and put me on Motrin too because with all the throwing up my swelling was HORRIBLE. The benefit outweighed risk now. Finally yesterday evening I started feeling better, ate dinner, and kept it down!! Then I took a pain pill and slept all night!!! Feel sooooo much better today and finally happy that I have the boobs! I was cursing my decision there for a while but it was just bad timing...... I'm still really weak so I'm not going back to work tomorrow as planned. Probably Wednesday to give me some extra rest. Oh and I have to say - i have the BEST PS EVER!!!! He has been in constant contact with my hubby regarding my condition. They've talked at least 3-4 times a day and I've been to his office at crazy after hours so he could make sure I was hydrated and ran tests to make sure there was nothing else going on. He gave us his cell phone number and if Damon didn't call him, he would call us. Wow - that was a mouthfull - my hands are tired now. Off to rest some! |
