First off, I'd like to say thank you to all the women that have posted in this forum. Your stories, questions, and answers have been extremely helpful to me throughout my personal experience. I cannot thank you enough.
I'm not sure where to begin my story, as there is so much I want to say, but here it goes... It started when I was about 16. I was 5'2", 34D, and about 128lbs. My boobs were great (thanks to birth control)... they were firm, perky, and had wonderful fullness. When I stopped taking the BC, I went down to a 34C and I lost about 12 lbs. My weight fluctuated for quite a while causing my breast to stretch and shrink, stretch and shrink. It was a vicious cycle that ruined my breasts. I noticed they started to slightly droop when I was around 20 years old. Pretty bad, right? I was not pleased with the lack of fullness, the shape, the size of my areola (which stretched when I was a 34D), or the firmness of my breasts. I was self-conscious. There I was 20-years old with terrible breasts. It was then I decided I want implants. There was no way I could afford the procedure at that time. I was a full-time college student with full-time job. The little money I had coming in went towards my travel expenses to and from school and whatever bills I had. It was a very unfortunate situation, especially because it was impossible for me to save any money. I couldn't have done this without my fiancé of 2 years. Not only has he been supportive throughout my situation, he is also the one who paid for it. Not that you have a little background information, let's cut to the chase... My appointment was 10:30am. Shortly after arriving, my fiancé and I were greeted by my cosmetic surgery consultant, who had me sign a bunch of papers and explained the procedure to me. Next, I met with the anesthesiologist, who explained to me his role in the procedure and exactly what he was going to do to me, what I would feel like, etc. He remained in the OR throughout the procedure, which was very important to me. (And I MADE SURE I warned him about my fear of needles and told him not to be surprised if I scream.) The nurse gave me 2 xanax and a gown to put on. I removed all my clothing except my socks and undies, which made me feel more comfortable. My PS, who was just absolutely wonderful, then greeted me. He, again, explained the procedure to me and assured me I would be fine. I removed my gown, while the consultant stood behind me holding up a blue cloth. The PS positioned me and began taking my before pictures. Once he was finished, they escorted me to the OR. Seeing all the instruments and bright lights was a bit overwhelming. At this point I met the PS's assistant... and it just so happened to be his birthday. The PS had me sit at the edge of the OR table with my legs dangling off the side and my hands on my hips. He began measuring and marking me for the procedure. Once he was finished, I laid back with my arms to the sides on the rests and they strapped me in. The anesthesiologist put electrodes all over my body to monitor my vitals, the PA slapped a "grounder" on my left thigh, and the PS began wrapping gauze around my right arm. Once the electrodes were in place, the anesthesiologist prepped me for the anesthesia. We went with a twilight sedation. He asked me to make a fist and tied the band around my forearm. He said, "Here we go" and put the needle in. I let out a grunt and he laughed at me. "That's it? No big scream? Ugh.. I'm disappointed!" I was so grossed out about the needle dangling out of my hand, so the PS was trying to get my mind of it. He was saying "Look at me... see what I'm doing over here, this is cool stuff." I told him flat out... "I know what you’re trying to do! You're trying to distract me and it's not going to work!" He laughed and before I knew it the needle was in and taped up. It was a few short minutes before I began to feel the effects of the anesthesia. I was chatting with the team and joked with them that I was going to try to fight it, and then I was out. I remember waking up after the surgery and the consultant escorted me to the ladies room so I could pee and get dressed. She stood in the room with me and I told her, "You can't stand in here. I'm pee shy." LOL I had the staff cracking up the whole time. They told me I was an excellent patient and they had fun with me. Yesterday I felt completely fine. It was a little difficult for me to move my arms, but other than that there was no real pain. I couldn't sleep last night at all, I was just so excited to wake up and get my stitches out and see the results. I'm in a little pain today, but it's nothing I can’t handle. It just feels like pressure on my chest. I'm starting to bruise slightly on my right breast and it's also a bit larger than the left, but I know in time this will go down. My appointment is 1:00pm today. Once I go, I'll be sure to fill you all in on the details. But so far here is what I do know... Pre Ba: 34c Post Ba: 34D, could be 34DD Implant: Mentor smooth round saline Size: not sure yet, will fin out today Placement: not sure if partial or sub muscular Incision: areola Lift: Benelli Again, I want to thank you all for your stories and I hope you enjoyed mine.
