I can't believe i did it and thank GOD for this forum!

Overall, the experience was 100 times better than i expected. The whole process was so smooth...the hospital Dr. Walden works out of (Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat) is amazing. My mom is a nurse and she could not believe how organized, attentive, clean, and just classy the whole hospital was. I was admitted right away...given a couple valium to relax b/c i was clearly nervous! Then the anesth. came and spoke to me who was super nice... Dr. Walden came over before i went in and we talked about sizing again and at the last minute she suggested that i go a tiny bit bigger than i was thinking all along (339cc mod+ vs. 325cc mod+). She was clearly taking her time to re-think about exactly how i explained to her i wanted to look...and she was totally right, i think so far they fit my frame perfectly!
ANYWAY, as far as the pain...it was not that bad. I was doped up for the first 2 days post-op and then was pretty much on tylenol extra strength, and back to work after 5 days. And even with the pain meds i mostly just stuck to valium to help me sleep b/c that was the biggest discomfort. I only have one tiny bruise near the incision site on one breast (i've heard of girls been completely bruised and swollen) Speaking of which, the frozen peas absolutely help!
I've been back to see Dr. Walden twice and will see her again next week just to keep checking on things. The compression bra is definitely not pleasant, but it has honestly already made them start to settle in a bit and I'm not even a week post-op.
SOOO, long story short...so far so good!! I'll be a little more excited once they "drop and fluff" as everyone on here likes to say. And I definitely recommend Dr. Walden....her and her whole staff are just nice and cool, and it's relaxing going there.
LASTLY, let me just say that this forum has been incredible...I do not think I could have survived this emotional rollercoaster without it. EVERY time I have a question, concern, worry, ANYTHING...i run to the forum and sure enough I am put at ease. My boyfriend would also like to thank the forum for literally wiping away my tears when i have a "pain" or a "pull" that neither I nor obviously he can explain. :-) Thank you all SO MUCH for posting your experiences, and we should all be proud of ourselves!!!
