At Least My Boobs Are Big: A Journal

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site and so glad that I found it. I've been a regular on several other Breast Implant message boards for several years and love chatting with all of my "boobie sisters".

I'm one week post op today

I've been blogging my entire journey so far and was thrilled when i came across the "stories" folder on here. I love reading about others experiences and sharing mine. So.. I'll start from the top of my blog to catch everyone up

Making Mountains out of Molehills.

It all started when i was 5 years old. My sister is 11 years older than me, and I was always jealous of all of her bras... especially the pink one. One evening my sister was at a friends, so i raided her underwear drawer to find that fabulous pink silky bra. I tried so hard not to get caught, but my Mom found me standing there in my panties and oversized bra. She laughed and asked me to follow her. I though for sure that I was in trouble for going through my sisters stuff, but instead she took me to the bathroom, wadded up some tissues and stuffed my bra.

"I DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD DO THAT!!", I exclaimed. The joke is that it was all down hill from there. I remember checking the mirror every morning when i was 10 or 11, hoping to wake up with lovely, full breasts. Turns out I was still running to the mirror every morning, hoping for the same thing, until I was 23.

I began seriously researching breast augmentation surgery when I was 17. Many times I tried to save enough, but being a college student just didn't allow me to do so. Finally, in 2008, I decided that NOW was the best time for this. I'm marrying the love of my life in October 2008, we just bought a house together last fall, and school is going great. So, once again I started the research process, consulted with several plastic surgeons, and making plans. I decided to travel 5 hours to Dr. Hunstad in Charlotte NC (www.hunstadcenter.com). Three days after my 24th birthday, I *finally* have seen a dream come true.

I had surgery this morning around 11:30 (hence the reason i'm not going in to too much detail in this post... and ignore the grammatical errors... it's the pain killers). I feel fantastic so far. No pain whatsoever, just discomfort and tightness. I'm so happy that I chose Dr. Hunstad... he and the entire staff were wonderful, I couldn't have asked for anything better. My recovery is going smoothly thus far - much better than what i had anticipated. I took several before pics, rice test pics, etc that i'll try to post tomorrow. I just wanted to make sure I at least blogged something on my first day.

OK, here's that stats:

* 5'0", 107 lbs, 24 years old
* 30.5" ribcage
* 34 B pre-op
* Allergan Style 15 (Mod+)
* 371cc Silicone Gels.
* Hoping for a C/D

Right now, they are swollen and stuffed in a surgical bra and strap... but i already love them! So, there's just an update. Tomorrow will be more detailed and will have lots of pics!!!

Day 2 with the Twins

So i woke up around 8:30 this morning and was expecting to be in a lot of pain. Luckily, not the case! Thomas woke me around 4 in the morning to check on me, i was really uncomfortable at that time, so he fixed me a snack and i took some pain meds. I feel really groggy and out of it right now, so ignore that typos and poor grammar, lol.

I go for my post-op today at 10:45, I cant wait to see what the look like with the strap and bra off. I opened the front of the bra last night for less than a minute just to get a peek at them... they look nice!

Hahaha, every time i move i can hear the right implant sloshing around and gurgling, it's so weird! It should be gone in a week or so.

OK, i just wanted to update this morning.. i'll write more after my post-op!

One Entire day in Boobieville!

So, today was my first full day of having the twins. I was afraid that today would be tough sense everyone seems to feel the worst on days 2 and 3. Today was a breeze! I'm starting to become a little soar right now.. which is why I'm awake, I had to get something in my stomach so i could take a couple of pills.

I still feel really loopy and out of it (i never take anything strong). I'm sure I'll read this in a few days and it will be an incoherent, jumbled, grammatically incorrect entry.

My post-op was quick this morning and Dr. Hunstad and the nurse both said that everything looked great! I go back on Thursday at 8:45, and should be able to leave to go back home after that. I'm excited to get back and lounge around in my bed. Don't get me wrong, i don't think i could have picked a better place to stay at... these beds are wonderful! Sometimes you just want to be in the comfort of your own home, ya know?

I started muscle relaxers today... talk about getting knocked out. I just took another one before posting this and I can already feel it kicking in. I can really feel where I'm getting really soar now... not sure what to expect in the morning.

OK, its hurting my arms to type, and i'm not even sure how much sense the random thoughts are making. <3

Day 3 Post Op

I woke up early this morning and was very tight and stiff. I had a muscle relaxer last night before bed, i think it just knocked me out so hard that I slept in the exact same position all night. I took my pain meds & antibiotics and then was able to sleep a little more.

I just had some breakfast and I'm going to try to wash my hair today for the first time since surgery. I told thomas that he'll probably have to wash it for me since i can't get my arms up over my head.

I'll be posting before and after today. I have some on my Google group already, but i'll add some in my blog later

Home Sweet Home

So I'm now 4 days post op! I had a follow up with Dr. Hunstad this morning, he seems very excited about the results so far. I go back down in two weeks and he'll start me on Vit E and massaging.

After the appointment this morning, we hit the road to head back home. I took a pain pill before, and a pain pill about half way through the trip. Yesterday evening and today were the hardest, but still not hard at all. I was more stiff and tight, but still never in any pain. I'm taking my meds on time and it really helps me a lot.

I was very happy to hear that I can start sleeping without a bra as of tonight! After sleeping propped up with this surgical bra and strap on for the past few days, tonight will really be a treat!

I'm also going to work on getting the tape off of my incisions tonight while in the shower. I could have had them do it at the office, but they told me that i could do it myself if I'd rather wait.

It's nice to be at home in my own bed... however, i do kind of miss the hotel, it was just such an awesome place. I miss Charlotte, too. Thomas and I actually picked up a couple of real estate guides while we we're down there, lol.

Today was the first "outing" since my breast augmentation and I'm exhausted! We left around noon to meet with my family at my grandparents. We had a great time, but I really started feeling tired and soar a few hours in to it. We didn't get home until around 8 tonight and I've been laying in bed with ice of my breasts ever since. Only my immediate family and my grandmother know about the surgery, so I tried to hide it from everyone else to avoid answering a million questions that I wasn't feeling up for today. Don't get me wrong, my breast augmentation isn't a secret.. but my family is annoying, lol.

I could see a big change in them today, and I'm really pleased with how they're turning out. I can't wait to see how they'll be a few months from now.
