I'm in Boobieville now too
Here's my story..Warning this is long..lol
Well DH and I got up about 6am Thursday morning (March27th) so we could get the boys up and ready for school, took my celebrex with a small sip of water and my MIL showed up at 8:30am so we could get going..My daughter had no school that day and the boys were having a half day cuz spring break was starting..We headed out about 8:45 had to be at the office at 10:30 and surgery was gonna start at 11:30..We ended up getting there 40 min early so we had to wait a bit ( better early than late we always say). So the nurse comes to get me and have me put on my sexy gown and pantyhose to help with blood circulation in the legs then started my IV at least she numbed it 1st..Then she went and got my DH to go over all the discharge papers..She started some antibotics and fluids into my IV, then came in my DR with super cold hands (BRRR) to start the drawings, the came in the guy with the good medicine..He went over my history gave me some anti nausea meds and antibotics..I don't even remember him saying a sedative or DH leaving the room before I went into the OR..I woke up and just felt slight tightness in my chest and looked down and yep got some nice big boobies now..Surgery only took 3 1/2 hrs instead of the 4 1/2 the Dr said it would take..He said my body worked really well for him and that I looked great. My lift was a full Mastopexy and I got Mentor silicone gel high profile implants 600 CC's in each side (I was a little surprised by that much) and a MTT with slight lipo on the sides and upper abs.. I'm feeling great and the nurse called yesterday to check in on me and she thought I looked great too..I only have 1 drain where my MTT is..I only feel a little tightness in my chest and hardly any ab pain, but I've been keeping up on the meds..My DH is great I just feel so bad though when I have to wake him up when I have to go to the bathroom..Poor guy doesn't get much sleep..Well I'll keep you all posted as the days go on, but so far I'm very happy with the outcome.. |

Thanks for sharing! I was out from the IV and don't remember even making it to the OR either!!!
Most of our dh's deserve medals for taking care of us for those first few days. I always felt bad waking him up to help me sit up and get out of bed. But..."for better or worse," right??? Good idea keeping up with your pain meds - that helps trememdously. Good luck with your recovery and please keep us posted on your progress!!

Congratulations! I sounds like everything went really smoothly. How are you feeling today? I'm getting something similar done so I'm eager to see your results!

Today is day 3 and I'm feeling great I'm just slightly swollen and a little sore but I'm going to start cutting back on the meds some today..it's also alot easier to get up out of the recliner now too and at least my tummy doesn't hurt so much anymore when I cough..
So far I would say that my Dr is absoultly wonderful and mae me look exactly the way I wanted too..we'll see what happens once I start the D&F but so far they are perfect and what I've always wanted |

Congratulations and thank you for posting your story. You've made it sound like the pain is bearable, which is what I wanted to hear. I am having a bl/ba on Thursday..........and may not even chicken out this time, lol. Have you been able to take a look at your incisions yet? Any last minute info would help. I'm happy for you and would love to see pics as soon as you can.

I think the pain is really bearable but I'm staying up on the meds..I've started backing off on them now..taking them every 8 hrs instead of every 4..and Yes we've looked at the incisions because my DH has to change my dressings for me until my 1st post op visit which is next thurs..The insicions don't look that bad at all and it looks like they have steri strips on all of them..and hardly anything is coming out of the 1 drain I have can't wait to get it removed..I'm gonna post pics on thurs or fri of before and 1st week post op...If anyone has any questions you can pm me..

Day 7 and today is my 1st post op visit..I can't wait I really want this stupid drain out everytime I move it hurts and it's starting to get red around it and looks slightly infected but I started putting the antibotics on it 2x a day instead of 1 time every other day like they said and besides ever since I got the drain I've hardly gotten anything out of it...So far the new boobs are looking great the right looks better so far than the left but lefty is starting to come around..and can't wait for 5 more weeks when I can finally get the waist binder off from the MTT it's such a pain and when DH takes it off for me to shower I get lightheaded and have to lay down for 10 min before I can shower..But all in all pain is almost gone except for the morning boob and the drain area..

Well I went to my 1st post op yesterday and Woo Hoo they took out the drain I couldn't stand that any longer..My PS was on vacation so I saw his partner and he said everything looked great as it should be and looks to be some of Dr Leppink's best work...Swolled my head alot..LOL..He also told me I can now start sleeping at night with no bra, but it has to be on all day when awake and reminded me that I have to keep the waist binder on 24/7 for the next 5 weeks unless cleaning it or showing of course..I don't have to go back for another visit until the 16th..But I'm so happy it was all good news

well I'm almost at the 2 week mark and I'm loving my new boobies, but can't wait until this waist binder gets to go bye bye, but at least in 4 more weeks I don't have to wear it all the time..
Steri-strips have been slowly coming off and all the incisions are looking great. Been starting to drop and I am just so amazed at my new look everytime I look in the mirror(which seems to be everytime I walk past one)LOL.. and DH is loving them too.. |
