I've been talking about buying boobs since I was In HS. Here it is, 10 years after I graduated, and still no boobs.
I always figured I'd slowly save up for them, but spending that much money on myself always seemed so selfish, you know? Especially when there are so many things we still need for the house.

Finally, about 3-4 weeks ago, I told my husband I was going to just charge them. He (obviously not being a boob man) said, "Okay, but I get to have something too. I want a new computer. Because the boobs are for you, I don't want you to get them, I like them the way they are, I always have. So if you get them, that's your thing, not mine. So I want a new computer."

I said, "Okay!!" and jumped on it. I went and got the credit card and told him to order away. He didn't actually mean to make a deal with me, I think he was ******* around, but he put his foot in his mouth, because I jumped all over it, haha.

I had researched breast augmentation and good surgeons a few years back (I didn't even know they had reapproved silicone!), but couldn't recall who I liked. I narrowed it down to board certified plastic surgeons in California, and poured through photos forever. I finally narrowed it down to three surgeons I'd be happy with, and made consultation appointments with all of them, 3 days apart each.

I went to Dr Corbin first. He has two offices, one in Brea and one in Beverly Hills, and they scheduled me at the Beverly Hills one. It was very upscale and pretty. Even the bathroom seemed posh. The Dr was very fast, and I didn't talk to him much. Mostly, I dealt with one of the nice ladies that worked there. I picked out 325 cc's moderate plus. After I had chosen them and went to leave, she told me that that size might maybe get me into a small C. I had wanted a full C, so I started rethinking my decision.

She wrote up the estimate, and it was $7700 for silicone, $6700 for saline (about $1000 or so more than I expected). I wanted silicone. She said that they had a cancellation date that needed to be filled, and they were offering to every patient the deal that if they could fill it (because it was kinda last-minute), they'd drop $700 off the price. I said I'd think about it, and left, intending to go to the other consultations.

I got into the car with my mom and sister and talked to them, and told them that I'm sure it was a bit more because it was Beverly Hills, but with the discount, it was going to be about the same as everyone else, PLUS I get to have surgery in 2 weeks, rather than waiting for 2 months! Best of both worlds! Sooner and at a discount! I got really scared that if I waited, someone else would book the date, and then when I did decide on this doctor, it would be expensive AND later, haha.

I booked the date that day, and called off the other consultations. Now I think that this is a marketing ploy of theirs, since they also told my mom something similar, and I read online that some other lady got a deal like that as well. Whatever.

One week later, I went to the pre-op, and was a bit miffed by the doctor. I figured that since it was pre-op, I'd talk to him more, but he seemed like he was too bothered to talk to me, he didn't really care what I had to say, didn't look at the pics I brought in of boobs I like, and was very gruff and curt and in a hurry. It kinda pissed me off.

They squeezed my mom in for a consultation at the same time, and when I came out of the office a little irritated, she came out and said, "I really like the doctor!" He was nice to her and answered all of her questions and all that good stuff. Maybe because I'm young and pierced and tattooed? I don't know. What an ass.

Anyway, I upped it to 350 cc's.

I went online and found every review I could on my doctor. Some of them said he was nice, but most of them said the same thing I did about him being curt, gruff, and in a hurry. However, they all agreed that he does marvelous work, and can make any size look natural on anyone. That made me feel better. As long as he does good work, that's what's most important, although for all the money I'm paying him, he could give me a little more of his time, and ACT like he cares. Whatever, just make my boobs look good, haha.

I read too much, and talked to too many people, and started to doubt my cc's again. The last straw was about 3 days before surgery when a friend texted me that she was having lunch with another friend about my size who had her boobs done, and went with like 435 cc's to be a full C. I said **** it, called the PS office and talked to one of the ladies. I asked her if it was possible for me with my BWD to go that big in moderate plus, and would it look ridiculous on me? She said "ridiculous" was subjective, blah blah, and I said, "Will it still look fairly natural?" and she said it was only a very slight difference from the 350's. I told her to write 400 cc's on my chart. Haha. That's the absolute largest I'm willing to go. I don't want giant breasts or anything. If I don't get a full C/baby D out of it, then it's just not meant to be.

My surgery was Tuesday the 15th. My appointment time was 8:15am.
The night before surgery, I wasn't supposed to eat or drink anything after about 10:00. When I woke up, I was dying of thirst. I kept swishing water around my mouth and spitting it out. I wanted to get in there and get it done as quickly as possible, because all I could think of was a nice big bottle of water when I got out, haha. Being super thirsty sucks. I couldn't really sleep all night.

It's kinda hard to remember stuff that happened immediately before or after surgery, but here goes.

My mom, dad, Dan (my husband) and I went to the plastic surgeon's office at 8:00am. We sat in the damn waiting room for an hour with me in my pajamas and slippers, my hair braided, and almost no makeup (ack!!) on. Another man and woman came in dressed normally, and I felt awkward.

They finally took Dan and I into the back and into an examination room. A lady came and talked to us, asked me some questions and gave me a gown that opens down the front, a hair net thing, and little booties made of the same material to wear over my socks.

More waiting. Still thirsty. Very sleepy from not sleeping the night before. I layed down, and told Dan to just have them gas me when I was already asleep.

The anesthesiologist came in and said something like, "Look, my job is already done!" because he caught me laying down with my eyes closed, haha. He was very nice, energetic and funny. He listened to my heart, since just the day before, another doctor had informed me that I had a heart murmur. He said I do, but it was okay. Thank god. He told me they were going to give me an IV and gas me. He said something about some anti-nausea stuff, and I told him that everything makes me nauseous. Giving blood makes me feel like puking or passing out, I get carsick, migraines make me puke, all that good stuff, plus it was an hour and a half drive home from there. He said he'd give me something for during and after. Woo!

More waiting. Still thirsty.

The doctor came in, and as I already told you, he can be curt, and is always very quick and to-the-point. He took "before" pics with a few different angles. Dan asked him if we could have some copies later. I asked him what kind of stitches I'd have, and I think he said they'd be internal dissolving stitches or something like that. I asked how big the incision would be, and what he showed me was about double what the nurse had told me the week before, but still not that big. Rather than the half inch she had said, he showed me about an inch.

He made markings in my armpit. The cut normally goes in your crease, but apparently, I don't have an armpit crease, so he "made" one, haha. He made marks around the bottoms of my boobs, but not on top, like I have seen some doctors do. Then he left.

More waiting. Dying of thirst.

They finally tookme in, and I kissed Dan goodbye. I layed down on their operating table, and they started putting electrodes on me, and a giant cold patch (I don't remember what he said it did) on my thigh. The anesthesiologist gave me an IV, and it sucked. I hate that type of thing, and layed there curling my toes and wishing they'd do that after I was already knocked out. Blech.

Finally, they put the gas mask on my face, and told me to count backwards from 100. I counted, and counted all the way down to 60, and thought, "This isn't working, it's never going to knock me completely out. I think the mask isn't on tight enough," and I slowly managed to eventually move my hand to my face to hold the mask on tighter. The lady came over, and I told her it wasn't working, I was still counting, and she told me I was already done.

Wow. It took 21 minutes.

So I don't know if the gas acts as a bit of a truth serum or what, but I remember just talking and talking to the lady in there. I don't remember what I said, except I remember saying, "The doctor is kind of a ****, huh? He's always a little rude and in a hurry and doesn't really want to talk to you, " and blah blah whatever else I said. I kinda remember her laughing and saying, "Yeah, he can be like that sometimes, he's even like that with me sometimes." I said, "That's why he hires all of you nice ladies," and she said, "Exactly. So now you just talk to us, you don't have to talk to him anymore." Then I rambled about god only knows what else. With my eyes closed the entire time.

Dan and my mom and dad were out to breakfast when she called and told them I was done already, and to pick me up a bit later. When they came to pick me up, I guess she told them I woke up and was a "Chatty Cathy." Haha.

We got there at 8:00 am, and left at almost 1:00. The surgery was only 21 minutes, and the rest was me waiting on them, and them waiting for me to wake up. I wish I could make $7000 for 21 minutes worth of work, haha.

Now I'm swollen and sore as hell. I tend to bruise really easily, but surprisingly, don't have much bruising. I HAVE been taking bromelain and arnica montana pills, and rubbing the arnica gel wherever I can reach, though (I couldn't reach that bruised spot, so maybe that's why).

I can't lift my arms much at all, except at the elbows. I can't sit up from laying down. Someone has to push me forward. My chest is tight and compressed (they went under the muscle, remember), and hurts inside. I'm breathing shallowly, and talking in short sentences. Coughing is the worst thing in the world.

My armpits and the chunk of muscle between your armpits and your chest is killing me. My neck is killing me because I'm over-using it to make up for my chest muscles not working right. You never realize how much you use those until they hurt like hell, haha.

I haven't been nauseous unless I stand up for too long, in which case I either feel sick or faint or both. I'm staying at my mom's house with Dan, and she's feeding me like crazy, haha. I'm going to get fat. Speaking of which, my belly is a bit swollen, I guess from the fluids that I'm using a bra to compress out of my breasts.

The doctor said to take off the ace bandage after 24 hours. Some people's doctors make them leave it on for 3 days. One boob has dropped more than the other, which often happens, but is still funny-looking. I kinda want to wrap the ace bandage back around to help push it down, but it feels so much better with the bandage off! Haha.

I need to go lay down, I've been on the internet too long, and don't feel good now.

I am pretty pleased with how well they already look. Don't get me wrong - they still look kinda goofy and ugly and weird, but not nearly as bad as I expected!

Haha, I'm pretty stoked that they look halfway decent already. I can't believe it. I was expecting frankenboobies too. Yes, I wore a hint of mineral makeup and lip gloss. My sister french braided my hair, and I wrapped it all up in the hairnet. The profile seems like it's going to be exactly what I wanted, and as for it being a bit wide, it's hard to tell, since it's swollen, but I don't think it's a big deal at all. When I first got home, they swelled until my cleavage was touching itself! I freaked out and was like, "Oh no, it's going to be a uniboob! Get me ice, quick!" Haha, the swelling went down.

Am I retarded? I don't see a private gallery. I'll go look again. Could someone link it?


Hey... is it normal to kinda feel the edges of the implants on the top and bottom? I don't know if they're actually the implants or if it's air under my muscle or what? When I rub my hand along the muscle on top, I can hear/feel it being kinda... bubbly?

Hmmm, I am not sure how you get to see the link with the private galleries on the main page of forums. One day it wasn't there, then I wrote a lot of posts and it was. Maybe you can PM Nikki or a moderator to let you get to it. You can then post a direct link to your yahoo gallery and share your photos.

I love posting and taking pics so it's a lot of fun for me. Just wait until you share your gallery...people will say, "damn...that chick is hot!" And see, the PS didn't notice our little bit of makeup like I thought! It made me feel just a tad bit prettier in the O.R! LOL

My husband isn't into boobs, and doesn't understand why I wanted them so badly, but he's taking care of me. I just had him feel the funky squishy part, and he said, "Ewww," and kept poking it, haha.

We're so silly about our makeup. I didn't plan to be at my mom's house this long, so I still haven't put any of my jewelry back in! It's weird.

Jkelsey, they have to order the 400 cc's for you? That sucks. When I called it in, my PS had it in stock, so they upgraded, no problem. That's okay, they said there isn't that big of a difference between the 350 and the 400.

I'm getting ready to eat lasagna and stromboli bread right now. Mmmm.

You are gonna be killing em dead when you D and F. I am sorry to hear that you are still in pain. Be sure to get some rest and to take your meds. I am sure you will get through just fine.
