fresh out of surgery!

i had my BA today and i feel great! i came out of the anesthesia without any problem (it helped that i had been put under with my wisdom teeth extraction just last month, i think). no pain because i have the pain pump and took a painkiller too just in case. i even have "The Strap" on but it's not uncomfortable at all. actually i don't even notice it much. perhaps it is because i had smaller implants than the average person (230 cc, silicone, under muscle, crease incision).

the only strange thing was that i was SUPER thirsty after the surgery. like my mouth felt so parched (oh no! did i sleep with my mouth WIDE open during surgery??? hahaha, classy...so very classy).

my loving fiance has been very supportive thus far. he's been taking good care of me. i let him have a glimpse of my new boobies and he is quite pleased as am i!

it's odd. i wasn't even nervous about the surgery today...probably because i am not a morning person and they told me to come in at 9:30am. ok fine, that is still a reasonable hour but i just don't do mornings. i don't know how some of you girls got to your facility at like 6am. that is ridiculous to me! and i wasn't even nervous last night either...i slept like a baby

well, i highly highly highly recommend the austin-weston center for cosmetic surgery (located in reston, virginia). every single person that i interacted with was so friendly yet professional. it made all the difference in the world! if you ever want to check them out, their website is: www.virginiabreast.com

anyway, i can't wait to buy new bras! =)

Congratulations!! I hope that the rest of your recovery continues just as smoothly... But do get some rest. Sometimes when we don't feel the pain we don't know when we're overdoing things.

Welcome to the Rack Pack!

Yup you did! Everyone does - the breathing tube keeps your mouth open....and dry!

thanks, everyone!! i feel so great. i only took one percocet and don't feel the need to take another just yet (but we'll see how i feel after the pain pump is taken out). i am still mindful that i need to take it easy and have been doing my best not to use my chest muscles.

so right now, i'm just chilling in bed...with my laptop, DVDs, and girlie magazines but man, i am still just so damn thirsty!

should i be taking in more protein? that is suppposed to help with recovery, no?

i keep looking down and glancing at the girls love 'em!!! if anyone has qualms about it, feel free to talk to me! this forum has been SUCH a huge support network so thank you!

My recovery was pretty much uneventful. My skin was very tight for a couple of days and that made them itchy. I was told by my PS to massage my boobies every two hours so I would put a little lotion or Bio Oil on them to soothe them when I did. Also I found out from the ladies on this site that letting the hot water hit your tatas for several minutes before you start to massage them helps a lot.

One of my nipples was really sensitive for the first days. I had two bags of frozen pineapple chunks to put on my boobies. One night I woke up 4am to nurse my babies and calm them down. If ya got anymore questions, let me know.

Hey - that's great!!!!

How long do you have the pain pump? I had mine for four days, and when it did come out I actually didn't notice a major difference. I had some tightness and soreness even with the pump, though, and I didn't go real big either (but sometimes a little goes a long way!!!).

Take very good care of yourself! Happy healing!!

"a little goes a long way"...definitely! besides, i wasn't able to go beyond 230cc with silicones (my BWD is only 10cm). but i'm happy with the result! btw, you look terrific!
