Hi Ladies!

I have been looking forward to this day for soooo long. It was hard to believe that its finally here. Well, here's my story:

I woke up at about 7:45 this morning. I could hardly sleep last night. I was just way too excited. My surgey was scheduled for 2 pm, so I had a long time to wait. Boy, was I HUNGRY!!! Well, I ran a lot of errands this morning to waist some time and to make sure that everything was all set up for my return. I left home at about 12:45 and got to the doctors office at about 1:20. I was told to show up 30 minutes earlier so I was just a little early. I was expecting to be waiting for a while but everything seemed to go so quickly. I had to sign some final paperwork, waited another 10-15 mins and then went right back to get changed. I hugged my friend and off I went.

When I got back into there I changed right away into the little cover-up they give you. I had to put on a hair net/cover, some "paper" panties, and some booties. I am really glad they let me keep on my socks though because my feet get really cold, really easily. Once my feel get cold, the rest of my body gets cold and its really hard to get warm again. So being able to keep my socks on helped alot. Soon after the doctor came in to mark me and double check my record and the implants they ordered. I went with 400cc HP silicone implants. He made A LOT of markings... But I guess he wanted to be really certain, hahaha. He asked if I had any questions and if I wanted to go over anything but I didn't. I was just really nervous and trying not to freak out too much. Next, the anesthesiologist came in and went over my my medical history and tried to ease my fears about it all.

As soon as he was done, I went into the medical suite and laid down. The bed was so warm. They had this heating blanket over me and put these massagers on my legs. I'm assuming it was for blood circulation. At the same time, the nurse was hooked me up to all of the machines and the anesthesiologist started the IV. I was so nervous so my heart rate started to increase a little. This was my first surgery so I really had no idea what to expect. I just turned my head and tried to think happy thoughts. All I remember is the doctor telling me that he was gonna give me something to relax and putting a mask over my face. I barely remember the mask though. You know how you are in the stage where you aren't really asleep but not awake either? Well that's what it felt like. Its kinda like when you fall asleep with the tv on and you can hear it but still don't know what's really going on. It was kinda like that. I hope that makes sense.

Next thing I remember is being in recovery and hearing the nurse saying that I can wake up and cough if I had to. I went right back to sleep after that. I was so thisty!! Shortly after I somewhat remember the PS coming in to see how I was doing and that he would see me tomorrow. I was still out of it so I don't think the conversation lasted very long. When I was finally able to open my eyes fully, I looked at the clock and it was about 5:30. So it had been about 3 hours since I first went back into the surgery suite. I didn't feel at all nauseated or in pain which I was extremely happy about. I just felt alot of pressure and a little discomfort where the incisions are (crease incision). By 6:00, my friend was there and I was able to get dressed and go home.

Once I got home (20-25 min ride), I was able to change into some comfortable pajamas and eat some food. By this time it had been almost 24 hours since I had anything to eat but I made sure to take it easy. I had some soup and some gatorade. I took really little bites and sips which I think helped. I also took a vicodin and a muscle relaxer. And took a little nap. I'm not in any pain at all which is a blessing. My throat is a little sore though and I'm having a little trouble swallowing. But other then that everything is ok. I'll be taking another vicodin in about 30 mins and try to get some rest. I'm going to try my best to stay on schedule so that I can stay on top of the pain. I'm just so happy to look down and finally see something there...LOL

way to go girl!!1 im 13 days post op and im happy i took this step. wooohoooo welcome!!! and take it easy. any questions im here since im ur senior hahah! oh was thinking how u woke up at 5:30 and heard many girls waking up really late. but my surgery was at 8:30 and i woke up by 11:15 and was back home almost before 12 . dunno why some ppl wake up early or later...i guess depends on how much dose? or from person to person?
