It Only Took 31 Years
Hi Ladies,
First off, let me start out by saying, if it weren't for JBI and all of you wonderful and informative ladies I don't know what I would have done. So THANK YOU... Ok, I woke up at 6:30 yesterday morning (Tuesday). I took a shower and got dressed while my husband got our son dressed. After my husband was FINALLY dressed (i could tell he was nervous because he changed clothes like 3 times) we dropped our son off at the sitter and we were on our way. The PS' office is just over an hour and a half away. We arrived at exactly 10am... Not even 10 minutes later, my name was called. My husband was like 'already'? I laughed at him, gave him a kiss and a hug and let him know that I loved him. I went through the door with the nurse and I knew that my life was about to change. I knew I was about to be given something that I had wished for for years and I was excited beyond words. I was taken into a room and the nurse asked me a couple of questions and then I had to go and take a pregnancy test (which of course was negative)....I went back to the room and had to put on this bluue gown thing. It wasn't the usual crinkly paper or the cloth but whatever it was it had holes (so that they could place warm air in there)... I was able to keep my underwear, my loungepants and my slippers on. Once the nurse left, the anesthetheologist (sp?) came in and asked me some questions. A few minutes later the PS came in and asked me some questions and then marked on me. He told me he'd see me in a little bit and he left. Not even 3 minutes later the nurse came in and said it was time.At this time it is almost 11 am... I was taken to the operating room and I saw this table that had arms on it. I thought if I was going to be nervous now was the time that it was going to hit me but nope,,nothing. I climbed onto the table and spread out my arms, all I could think of was being crucified.lol... I was told that I was going to be given some medicine to make me sleepy and then a mask was placed on my face and I was told to take deep breaths. I was about to tell them that it wasn't working but.............I woke up in recovery(around 12:15) with the shakes. I was given some crackers and water and could barely hold my little plastic cup because I was shaking so bad....On a pain scale of 1-10, maybe a 5...It just felt like there was a 500 lb boat on my chest but it was more discomfort than anything else. The nurse called my husband to come and get me and when she hung up, she's laughing and says "I think he was in a restaurant from the background noise".. Yup he was at Buffalo Wild Wings..since I couldn't eat anything he didn't want to eat around me so he also skipped breakfast... He arrives 10-15 minutes later and the nurse asks him to see my medication. When she realizes I don't have valium, she writes out a prescription for me. She ends up giving me one right then and then they slip my zip up hoody on and I am slowly shuffle to the door. I make it into the car and we are on our way home (about 12:45) ... When we get to our town, my husband stops at the pharmacy to have my valium prescription filled. When he comes back with it, he also has a Star, UsWeekly and InTouch magazines.. He is the greatest and it made me realize that I sometimeas don't give him the credit he deserves..I had him stop at McDonalds because I wanted some french fries...We get home (about 3pm) and he walks me upstairs to the bedroom and I head straight to the recliner. I doze off and on until it is time to take my meds and I also eat some soup. I have to go to the bathroom so my husband helps me which is good because I couldn't get my pants down. lol.. When my husband is about to go to bed, I tell him that I want to get in with him. I get propped up on 3 pillows and I actually slept pretty good except for when I had to go to the bathroom at 2 this morning. I finally managed to get myself out of bed.. I used the dresser and other pieces of furniture to hold onto. My hubby realizes I am out of bed and he jumped up with a quickness to get over to me. I let him know I was okay and I didn't need help. So he just stands directly behind me with his hand on my back and follows me. Well let's just say I felt like my two year old son who is always so proud of himself whenever he goes potty alone. I looked up at my husband when I was through and said "I did it"..I pulled my pants down and got them back up all by myself (tmi, i even wiped alone).....Well my alarm went off at 5am this morning and my husband gave me my medication. I am now back in the recliner and my husband has me surrounded with pillows and he put the laptop on my lap and I decided to go ahead and post my story. After I am thru I am going to log onto ABC and watch some Desperate Housewives.... Oh, I got 400 cc's in my left and 435cc's in my right. They look pretty small to me but I am hoping it is just because the muscles aren't loosened up yet. aauughhh, it feels so great to have a chest minus the padding from the bra's.........Gotta love boobs.. My ONLY regret is that I didn't do it sooner...

ok, I am 2 days past my surgery date and I still feel nothing. My boobs are a bit tighter today but that is about it. Thank God for ab workouts. I use my abs to help me get in and out of bed. Is it going to continue to be like this or is the pain going to just hit me all of a sudden? All I do is lay either in the recliner or on the bed. Getting up just to go to the bathroom. My husband won't even let me take my own medicine. He hand feeds them to me along with my soup. Is it the vicodin that is blocking the pain or is it the meds they gave me before my surgery. Either way I thought there would be some pain involved. Also judging by my avatar, do you think I am going to hit a small D? I also have a coplue pictures posted in my album. a few before and afters. What do you think?
