My boobs have arrived BUT I WISH I KNEW HOW BAD IT WAS GONNA BE!
So I had my surgery done may14th. I was so nervous having my bf drive me there. I sat in this big waiting room til the nurse called me and my bf in. She told me she wanted me to change into this ugly overiszed gown and there mesh panties. Since I had gotten my period that morning, she gave me a huge mattress to go in my panties!!
The anesthsiologist (sp?) came in and gave me antibiotics through IV, and my bf sat there holding my hand. Doc came in one last time to mark me up and ask if I had any last questions. I told him to go 375cc instead of 350cc ( we were torn between the two). He said he would do what he could! The anesthesiologist (sp?) came back in and she said we are gonna give you some happy meds and roll you into the OR. I told me bf to kiss me goodbye before he saw me all loopy. So he did and left and they gave me hapy meds. I knocked out within one minute. When I woke up, I was not sick but in the most agonizing pain I had ever felt in my life. They imediately gave me 2 vicodin, morphine, and another something. I was almost in tears from the pain. Is this normal? I heard some girlssay it was not painful. It is the next day from surgery and I still cant sit myself up in bed or do ANYTHING! It hurts to breathe in or to talk. When does this go away? My bandages come off tomorrow. I asked the DR how many he gave me and he said 350ccc, the 375cc looked too round and fake. I was a lil upset he went on the smaller side. I definately woke up and took a peak at my chest and was not "overwhelmed" by how big they were....which is what I was hoping for. I might only turn out a baby D the biggest We shall see though. The are under the muscle so I kept feeling the top..saying " I have top boob, they are no longer slopes!!!" lol.

Cubangirl,
Congratualtinos on your BA. I had mine done the day before you and I promise you that it will get better. Just stay on top of your meds. Even though your PS went with 350 cc's, I am sure you will get the results that you are looking for. Just hang in there... Once again, congrats...

Congrats on your surgery, but so sorry to hear that you are in so much pain! I had a lot of discomfort the first few days and was miserable that Icouldn't sit up or sleep the way I wanted to. It also hurt when I laughed or coughed, but it gradually went away after 4 days! HANG IN THERE!! I'm glad your not "sick" from the pain meds, because I can tell you for me that was MUCH MUCH worse!! I believe that was the only time that I actually said "why did I go through with this" after vommiting for 6 hours straight! You will be fine after a few days! I would reccomend walking around the house and get the blood circulating. I did that and it made me feel so much better! Don't worry about the size yet, your soo early post op! You will start to see some differences after the first week, I know I did but it was week 2 that I saw some shape after the swelling has gone down! I have 375 cc's and I think I will be a Full C/baby D! 350 cc's is not that much less than 375 cc's just maybe 2 tablespoons!
I'm sure you will look great!

Hey, congratulations on your surgery!! People have different reactions to pain.... You should not be laying down in bed right now, simply because it hurts so much to get up. You should be wedged into the corner of a couch or something. So you might want to make a few adjustments that way. Also, keep those pain meds coming ON SCHEDULE... Have a little bit of a sandwich by your bed or couch or wherever you are, some water, and the pain meds. Set your timer or cell phone or clock for the hour interval that you want to take the meds, even if it wakes you up. This doesn't work for some ladies who have a hard time sleeping, but it worked great for me. Don't let the pain get ahead of you! and remember, they will be more stiff and sore in the morning because you've stayed motionless for so long while sleeping. You will loosen up and feel better as the day goes on.
Just be patient!! You will be gorgeous..... Hang in there!

Listen to the other ladies when they tell you to stay on top of your pain meds. Congratulations to you!!!!!!
![]() I was shocked with the pain as well. I had one friend tell me it was worse than her c-section and another tell me it wasn't that bad. I thought I had a very high tolerance for pain as my c-section didn't bother me. Whoa, when I woke up with the elephant on my chest and in pain I was in shock. Just know that it really does get better. I was off my pain meds by the 4th day, just using Tylenol. Just try and sleep as much as you can for the first few days but be sure to get up and walk a little so that you don't get too stiff. I found it helped a lot to have a pillow to hold up to my chest when I was trying to sit up and then I would continue to hold it there when I would walk. It gave my girls some support. Also, when trying to sit up on your own, I found it easiest to bring one of my knees up to my waist and then wrap by hands around the back of my knee. I would then slowly straighten my leg to help pull me up. It really helped when I was alone. Hang in there! |

It does get better. By day 5 I felt MUCH better. But, I know what you mean about the pain! I read a lot of posts from women who said it was no big deal, that the pain was manageable, etc. But for me, seriously, my BA hurt worse than having my second child with no pain meds. But this may be because I got sick from the strong drugs and only took extra strength tylenol.
But seriously, hang in there. It WILL get better, even if you feel like you're dying now. In two weeks I felt completely like myself again, with just a couple twinges here and there. |

Congratulations! I hope you start to feel better soon! It was painful at first to sit up, but it does get better. I have a pretty high tolerance to pain, so I can't say when it gets better. I was more uncomfortable than in pain.

Oh gosh, I'm sorry you're in such discomfort. It's interesting how everyone has such a different pain response to this surgery. I know that chest tightness feeling you're talking about...it feels like there's a super-tight rubber band around your chest and you can only take shallow breaths. Well, that will pass within a day or two. Totally normal!
As for size, don't think that what you're seeing right now is in any way indicative of your final size. Your skin and muscles are super-tight right now and are in the process of stretching to accommodate the implants. After your swelling goes down, your skin/muscles will relax and then your implants will be able to fluff out to their full glory! Rest up and I hope you feel better soon.

i sorry you feel bad,
aybe you should call your doc and ask for another pain med, i certain you are going to love the result,25 cc less its nothing,if you read all the old post if it was a 100ccok,but 25cc its small, i had overs and a breast lift and was in just pain for the breast lift , but everyone have different level of pain, and under hurt more, also i had a c cup in my old days, so i send you all my support, the only thing that bother me now still its the left boob where i had the lift at the nipple where the ps cut its still sore, but you know its surgery, when you start to cut skin it hurt. take care.tititita. |
