I, We.... They have arrived

I am so happy to be telling this story finally. We left my younger son (3) at my sister's house the night before. That was really hard, started getting nervous at that point. My daughter (15) stayed at her gmom's house and my other son (6) stayed home with us, but we had to take him to the neighbor's house at 6 to be taken to school.

Off we went to the surgery center. Arrived at 6:30 (right on time). Did the registration and then was called back to do a pee pee test and they pricked my finger to see the strength of my blood (to see if I was a bleeder or not) I was on my way back out to sit with my DH when the nurse asked where I was going, she was ready for me. Told her I had to go say bye to DH. He started to tear up which got me going.

Went back to the nurse and we went over paperwork and such and she brought me to the pre-op area. She told me I could wear socks and my pantys. Told DH this was a possibility, so I did not wear a thong. Nurse Michelle did my IV (ouch) and then an anestheiologist came in. Did NOT like him. Told him I was nervous and he was like, well you volenteered to be here. RUDE RUDE RUDE. A few minutes later a second anesthesiologist came in. He was nice, he said he would be the one in the room with me and said he would take good care of me. PS came in next, took some pix and I was waiting for the "purple marker" but he pulled out a Sharpie. He drew my natural breast line and then where he wanted to do the incision.

Minutes later we were on the way to the OR. Got up on the table, super nice nurses in there. Mr nice anesthesiolgist came in and told me to lay my arm out and he would put some "stuff" in my IV - GOODNIGHT
I woke up and post-op with TA TAs Guess I had been in there for about 1 1/2 hours sleeping. Had the chills really bad and my sweet nurse brougth over a heating maching. It blew hot air up under the blanket. Chills....gone I had to wait till my blood pressure was normal. It is always high after I have a proceedure I freak myself out and it wont go down. It started to drop and they let my DH and my sister come in. More tears from DH and up went my BP Thanks a lot. He left and my sister stayed with me. I guess what I really needed was to see them because my next two BPs where down A LOT. Had to pee really bad, thought we were going to vomit, but the nurse put an alcohol swab under my nose and it subsided. She gave my a darovcet and let me pee. We did the discharge papers and home we went.

Propped up in lazy boy most of the day. Pain was about a 4, pressure was yucky but not bad. Yawning sucks !!!
We got home about 11:30 and I decided about 3 to tryand get propped up in bed as the children would be home and peace and quiet would only be in my room at that time. Finally started to doze off and on. DH picked up children and a happy meal for me. That helped a lot. I was getting a hunger headache. We decided to go from 1 darvocet to 2 through out the night. I am only on 1 this am and I feel GREAT.

I am so happy they are here. I am SOOO happy I found this site. Reading everyones stories, knowing what to expect was so very helpful. Hope to go poo soon. Told DH it would be a Big Mac for lunch if i dont go cause that always seems to work (TMI)

YAY!!! Sorry you had to go through the low BP issue, but I'm glad that you are doing well now.
