Day 4...a little uncomfortable, but not so flat!

Well I finally did it. I had been thinking about this for over 2 years, so it was about time. at 6 In the morning, my friend Dee came and drove me to the surgery facility in Staten Island. I filled out reams of paperwork and then went in to talk to the anesteciologist(sp?). He was a nice guy- funny. He said that it would be so quick I wouldn't know what happened. Then Dr. Heller came in and marked me up. At first he wanted to know how big I wanted to be, then he looked at my lack of tissue ( and realized that anything bigger than a small C might be impossible without stretchmarks or complications. I was ok with this- I had only wanted a full B. After he marked me up, they brought me into the OR. By this time, I am surprisingly calm for some one who barely slept the night before. I talked to the OR nurse and cracked jokes with the anesteciologist. When he added the anestesia to my iv, I started to feel a little dizzy. "It's that time, huh?" I asked. And then next thing I knew, they were fitting me into the surgical bra and sliding me off the table. I knew I would be uncomfortable. I weigh 104 llbs soaking wet. The new boobs were heavy. My skin had to be stretched significantly, so they felt tight. But at the time I was high from anestesia and just wanted to sleep. I went into the recovery room and lay down for all of 15 minutes before deciding that I would rather be at home. The OR nurse wanted to know what my hurry was and wanted me to go to the bathroom before I left. I'm such a control freak- I just wanted to go home. I tried to pee- was unsuccessful, and had my friend Dee take me home. Since my appt was so early, Dee and I were both pretty tired and we passed out in the living room- me in my already prepared with pillows and sheets chase lounge and her on my couch. At 3:00 I took some percoset and ate some soup that Dee made for me and then went back to sleep. At 4:30 I took off the bra to check out the merchandise. Dee and I were amazed- I went from AAA wonder to sexy woman...sexy swollen woman lol. Eventually Dee went home and I went to bed with little incident- I was probably still high from the anestesia. Day 2 was an entirely different story. The percoset didnt seem to be working much. I was bloated. I felt queezy from eating and then just sitting there like a blob.My chest was so tight that it hurt to talk. I took some pictures in the AM when I felt a little normal, but by evening I wanted to hit somebody. Sleeping was impossible. I was up most of the night. Day 3 wasn't much better, actually it was worst. The pain in my left breast became very noticeable- that was the smaller breast and it had required more CCs. I still felt queezy. I looked super bloated. My skin felt sandpaper-ish. I was beginning to wonder why the heck people do this to themselves. I then took a look at my "before" photos and tried to remind myself how fun it was looking like a 12 year old boy. I broke out the two frozen bags of peas I bought and placed them under my arms. That helped immensely. Then I was able to sleep a little. Today is Day 4. My back hurts. The left breast is definately the problem tittie. It is SO sore. The right one doesn't look nearly as swollen and it doesn't hurt as much or feel as tight. I massaged them a bit this am- that seemed to help for a while. I took off the "fun bra" for an hour this morning. That was a welcome relief as well. I dozed in and out all day. I decided that today would be shower day. My doctor said I could shower if I wrapped my breasts in sarran wrap first. My sister will be helping me with that later. Hopefully, the soreness in my left breast will subside so that I can be more mobile. I do think that moving around helps your spirits. It's a beautiful day- I am hoping to shower and get short walk in before it gets dark. This process is a lot to go through. I am really hoping my breasts look good soon- they still have the wonky post surgery shape. The bright side is this- no pain, no gain, but the idea of putting on a shirt and looking like a woman (without having to stuff, tape or otherwise "trick" the masses) will make it all worth while...i hope!

Congratulations!!! It will get better in the next few days, I promise...I think the first 4 days was the worst for me...keep up with your meds and rest rest rest!!!! Happy Memorial Day weekend!!!!!

Hey guys! Thanks for the well wishes. I read some of the suggestions of other users yesterday and decided to spend some more time "massaging". At first it didn't seem to be helping, but I was able to shower, dress and take the subway a few stops to buy some takeout (I wasn't ready to drive yet!). It was difficult- I cried while putting the sarran wrap over my incisions before showering, but I'm glad I got out! When I came home I felt a bit better. I did another 30 minutes of "massaging". My night wasn't as restless and this am I feel 100% better than I did yesterday morning. I'm still sore and tight, but I will be able to drive today to run some errands. I will definately continue to massage the breasts- it hurts at first but it is really helpful in the long run if your doctor oks it early. I think I got 300 ccs in the right breast and 315ccs in the left- not too big, but i had ZERO breast tissue and I'm tiny, so my muscles got a huge workout!
