So today was my big day. My sister drove me to the Surgery Center. I was quickly taken back to take a pregnancy test, blood pressure, and have an IV inserted. The IV was super easy because they numbed my hand first. That was a nice little touch. When my PS came in I told him that I wanted to be slightly larger than I had originally planned and he told me that was a problem because the inserts he brought had a 300 cc limit. He was fantastic though because he scrambled around making calls to his office to have larger ones brought over. My sister and I were laughing at my "booby delivery". lol.

In the operating room, I was set up with my arms out and my head on a circle shaped pillow. They joked about giving me my morning cocktail and I was out fast! I woke up in terrible pain in the deliver room. I won't lie, the pain was horrible. My chest felt so tight and I could barely keep still because of the pain. The nurses were very patient (bad spelling?) with me and encouraged me to take a nap and take my time. I finally took a small nap and felt much better. I was pushed to my sisters car in a wheel chair. I was even able to doze on the way home.

Once we were home I hobbled into bed. The pain was still really bad. It hurt too much to even cry! Luckily I had my sisters and Mom home and later my husband. They gave me my medication right away like the PS said too and that made me feel SO MUCH better. The pain was barely there at all. I still feel alot of tightness in my chest and can't lift my arms high. I need help putting on sweatshirts. Straws have been a lifesaver. But I've walked up and down our stairs, sat and watched a movie with the family, chatted, etc. My kids were also very understanding when I told them I coulden't hold them because I had gone to the doctors and still felt yucky. My youngest didn't understand but he was spoiled alot my his Nana and Aunts

I mean I really feel good when I have the meds. I am being very careful not too overdo it though.

So in all, I feel pretty darn great. It's painful but I am so happy I went through with it. I ended up getting 340 ccs which I hope give me a Baby D but I would be happy with a Full C too. Right now they are just wrapped so tight and are up so high that I can't tell how they will be. I get my bandages off in a few days and my sutures out next week.

Congratulations!! I felt the same way. Lots of pain right after, but after 1 day, I was feeling great and so happy with my decision. I have had a great recovery and I am wishing the same for you!!
