I had my breast implants redone yesterday...I got to my PS office at 7 am..and did the whole 20Q with the recovery nurse,anesthesiologist and then the dr. The dr. drew on me both standing and lying down to mark where my old implants were and where he wanted the new ones to be. I had some capsular contraction on the right..and my left one was WAAAY out left. They've been lopsided since I got them done- but after having 2 kids and breastfeeding they got really lopsided. After his drawings I got to kiss dh goodbye and off I went!

I was walked into the OR...and one of the scrub techs that works at the hospital where I work was there yesterday. It was great to have a familiar face before I went out! The anest. gave me my IV in my hand and told me that I'd be getting a bit sleepy. The next thing that I remember was waking up in the recovery room shaking. I had been under for 5 hours. I had a capsulotomy on both sides, pocket "fixing" on the left, new implants put in- Mentor HP saline 560ccs, mini tummy tuck (from my nasty c-section scar) and a bit of lipo. The nurse told me before I went in that I'd be puking afterwards..but she was wrong. I remember waking up around 1:30- and by 2 pm I was in the car on my way home. I slept most of the way..and as soon as I got home I climbed into bed.I woke up again around 5 pm and decided to take a peek. My boobs look good (considering I'm only a day out) and they look even...which was my main concern. They wrapped me in an ace bandage..and it feels much better than having them all over the place. My section scar looks incredible- I can't wait to put on a bikini!!

As for the pain......the left side is pretty sore...the right one not so much. I feel that having them compressed a bit helps- so I'm sticking with my ace bandage. Oh yeah..the vicodin helps a lot too! I can't sleep lying down yet..they're still too sore. I actually slept pretty good last night propped up on pillows. Hopefully tonight will be better! I'm already wondering if I should have gone a tiny bit bigger- we had agreed on adding 200 cc's to what I had before. I couldn't remember..he told me I had 400's in. I'm hoping this size will be good on me..but the main thing will be for me to be even.

I'm so glad its over..I stressed so much over this since I booked it. It really wasn't a big deal. The worst part of it all was the stress and no appetite for the last few weeks. It was all for nothing!

i agree. The pre op stress was more of the battle for me... I hope all turns out well for you and update us!!! thanks for sharing..

Thanks so much!! Why did your left one bruise so much more?Did they hae to do more work to it than the right?
My left one took a lot of work to make the pocket where it needed to be (my old implant on the left was too far out) so he had to put internal stitches in after he had taken out the scar tissue.

You look great though!! I'm jealous!
