Smile My Pre-op Appointment Update!

I had a fabulous pre-op appointment with Dr. Cohen this afternoon. The next 13 days are going to fly by and I am so excited! He was very gentle is sparing the news that I have come to realize over the past few weeks: I really am a 34AA, not the 34A that I always thought I was But that's OK because he can fix that. Oh, and I also come to realize that I am slightly assymetrical-hard to really tell on someone that has a nipple only. We discussed size, of course, and I presented some pictures. I also wrote down the case numbers from his personal web site and we looked at them together. I originally stated somewhere in the 300-375 cc range to give me a baby/full C look. Dr. Cohen agreed, but even said that he would actually start at 350 cc and then go up from there to achieve a full C. He said I could actually end up with 400-425 because I have literally nothing to work with at all, and I am thin & bony on top-and apparently a convex chest. They will be Mentor silicone gels, under-and he will use a few testers to see what really works best for my body to give me a natural look. Plus, his staff continues to be top notch!

I also addressed a previous concern I wrote about in regard to no eating & drinking past midnight the day before surgery. Since I get severe migraines and dizzy/fainting spells from not eating/drinking, he gave me the go ahead to have a glass of gatorade or jello at 2-3 am the night before. My surgery is not until 11:00 am, so it gives my body a full 8 hours to pee it out in the morning.

Now my only drawback is staying away from the "Foods to Avoid" list! We are going on vacation Tuesday and it says NO BOOZE!

YAY!! only 13 days to BOOBIES!

See! I told you he would say 400 - 450! That is great that he is allowing you to eat something 8 hours before. He is the best, isn't he? I so know what you mean about the foods to avoid list. DH and I went to Hawaii for our 15th anniversary one week before my surgery and it was SO HARD to stay away from a lot of things on that list. You are almost there! It'll be here before you know it.

BTW, what case numbers were you looking at? Just curious.

OMG! Avoiding those avoidable foods in Hawaii prior to BA! You are one strong-willed woman California! I ate & drank a lot when we were in Hawaii!

On Dr. Cohen's website, I was writing down at least a dozen case studies-but then narrowed in on #65 which would look conservative on me. That patient was in the low 300 cc range. Case #87 and #55 were 2 that I liked on the larger side 375 cc-450cc. He thinks the larger woudl still look natural on me.

Oh, and bummer report from my labs-forgot about that. My PCP ordered a 24 hour urinalysis and I have a UTI. I am staring Cipro tomorrow. It should have no effect on the BA in 13 days.

I know! It was HARD! I'm sorry you have a UTI. I have had a rough go around with one over the past month. I hope I NEVER get one again. I hope the cipro take care of it for you.

What does pre-surgery qualification mean? I guess I didn't need it because my PCP just signed off on the lab work. She never even called me about the results of the labs-only the nurse to inform me I had a UTI. Dr. Cohen was the one who interpreted my labs.

OKay, so if you can fit a 400-450cc does that mean I could get 450-500cc? What does convex mean? lol. I just want large boobs. I understand my chest will be representing his name/work... but i hope he won't say I can't have a certain size cause he wants me to look 100% proportionate/natural
