I'm so glad it is over!
I have talked about getting a BA for many many years. As a lot of you know, barely filling out an A cup is no fun at all. I would always make comments about my itty bitties and how it would be nice to get a BA but just never took the steps to make it happen. One day about a month ago, DH says "oh btw, you have a BA consult tomorrow". Good thing he took the initiative to do the searching for a proper PS in our area because if he had left it up to me... I'd still have sad sad boobies.
4 days later we drove 2 1/2 hours to Texas for my consult. Just like 90% of us, I told my PS that I wanted to be a full C... because my idea of a full C is the same as everyone elses right??!! After asking tons of questions I pretty much told him that I wanted to balance out my hips and look as natural as possible... I had decided on silicone unders and he recommended 425cc. WHOA! That sounded HUGE! He also gave me a website to go to where you can search results by height, weight, pre BA and post BA cup size so that you could ATTEMPT to see what your results would look like. That site, plus all of you at JBI, put my mind at ease as for the size thing... 3 weeks after that consult was BA day!! I arrived at the surgery center at 6:30 AM and I was SOOOO nervous. I told the nurse how SCARED I was of nausea and she put a little patch behind my ear to help with that. She put in my IV and asked me a handful of questions...the same questions that they asked me 4 or 5 times that morning. My PS came in all chipper and smiles asking me if I was excited... I wasn't. I was terrified. I just wanted to get it over with and they weren't going fast enough for me! He marked me up and then went to get washed up. The nurse came back in and said we were ready. She led me to the OR and had me hop up on the bed. Then she and another nurse proceeded to stick monitor thingies all over my body and strap down my arms (seemed like they were tying me down to some sort of torture device... I'm thinking they should wait to strap you down until AFTER you are asleep cuz it sort of freaked me out). The anesthesiologist came in to give me some happy juice and at the same time I heard my PS come in. He asked a question about everyone being ready and then I woke up in the recovery room. I felt very groggy, a little sick to my tummy, and A LOT of pressure in my chest. It felt so heavy. The nurse asked me if I was in pain... I told her no but that I was nauseated so she gave me something in my IV for that. Then DH came in and sat with me as I was in and out of sleep. Then the pain started to creep in so the nurse gave me something for it. I overheard her and DH talking about me breaking out in hives (I really could have cared less... I was so sleepy) she mentioned something about a reaction to the pain meds and gave me benadryl. After she was sure that all was OK, she sent me on my way. The next day I had a PO and they took that horrid strap off and changed out my bra. He said that I had dropped enough to not have to wear the strap unless I wanted to. WHO WOULD VOLUNTEER TO WEAR THAT THING? Anyhow, they said to go back in a week... which happens to be tomorrow. We drove back to LA 2 days PO. The drive was very barable which was surprising to me. Each day the pain/pressure has gotten better but other issues have popped up. Constipation and belly bloat have taken their toll on me. I'm using stool softeners daily and laxatives every other day to keep things moving. I haven't been on any pain meds for 3 days now so I'm hoping that things will start to get back to normal. Speaking of pain meds... I had a reaction to the vicodin around day 4... got real sick to my stomach... ughhh it was just nasty. So I stopped taking those and started taking tylenol and began to notice withdrawl symptoms. I had bad headaches, chills with waves of cold sweats and an overall feeling of "something's just not right" for 2 days. Today things are much much better. I got out of the house for a few hours today... took the boys to get hair cuts since I can't do it right now and went grocery shopping. It felt good to get out in the sun and to see life for awhile but it sure was sad that my pretty boobs had to be hidden in this stupid sports bra! Can't wait until the bloat goes away, until I can go to the bathroom regularly, until I can sleep in a position other than my back, and until I can wear sexy bras. Cheers until then ladies

Congratulations on your new additions! I hope you are feeling back to normal soon!
Do you have the website you looked at to see what you might look like afterwards? My BA is in a week, and I'm interested in seeing the potential. ![]() Congratulations again! |
