Hello All! I had my BA on July 1st at noon. My wonderful mom and boyfriend came with me and I have to say that without the support of loved ones this would of been much more difficult.
I have to tell you the funniest thing happened: My mom and boyfriend were allowed to sit with me while I was waiting to be wheeled into the surgery room. You go behind these huge glass sliding doors and you cannot see what is behind them. Well, as we were sitting there waiting for me to be wheeled away everytime the door opened to the operating roomsall you could hear was a circular saw!!!! It sounded like a horror movie! Apparently they were doing construction in one of the rooms but we all had a huge laugh. The surgery went great and when I woke up I had some pretty severe pain but I was so out of it that I stopped breathing and the nurses had to run over to remind me to take a breath! They administered as much pain meds as I was prescribed when I first came out of surgery and once they kicked in I was feeling so much better. I then was wheeled up to my hospial room where my mom and boyfriend were waiting for me. I was sobbing because I was so happy to see them. My mom had started crying when I first got wheeled into surgery and my wonderful surgeon was so kind to comfort us. I ended up being at the hospital for about 10 hours because they did not want to release me before I peed but as much fluid as they pumped into me I just could not go. They finally called my surgeon and he said I could be released but if I did not pee when i got home i would have to go to the ER and have a catheter (sp!) put in. Luckily I peed like a race horse when i got home. I have to say that my recovery has been beyond phenominal and when I saw my doctor yesterday he could not believe that I had only had my surgery only two days prior. They already looked beautiful and I could not be happier. I just have to say I have always known what a wonderful boyfriend I have but he has blown me away these past few days. I haven't lifted a finger thanks to him and my family and I feel so lucky to be going through this with all of this support. He looked like he was going to keel over on Tuesday when he was driving us to the surgery and at the hospital. I told him I felt bad that he was so worried but that seeing him like that made me happy because it shows how much he loves me! ![]() Thanks for listening to my long and gushy story. Thanks for all of the support on here because I would have been a wreck these past few months without all of you girls. I will post some pics over the weekend! |

I used Dr. Ganchi in Wayne and I would absolutely recommend him! He was wonderful throughout the whole process and has a wonderful manner about him.
