Okay, so here's my story...

Went into the surgery center an hour and 15 minutes prior to scheduled surgery time, got my bracelet and my lovely operating room attire (hairnet and all

).

everything went so quickly! i kicked my partner out of the room while the anesthesiologist was recapping my medical history because i was on the verge of tears i was so nervous. THEN the anesthesiologist came in, god bless her. :-) she told me she was going to give me something to calm me down - equivalent to a couple cocktails... yeah, right! i was laughing hysterically and pulling at my IV, and that's the last thing i remember until i woke up in the recovery room.

i woke up shivering, like teeth-chattering-felt-like-i-was-freezing-to-death shivering and the nurse goes, "oh, you're awake, so how is your pain level on a scale of one to ten?" and i said "it would be a two or three if i wasn't so cold!" they gave me this amazing blanket called a "bear hug" that was pumping hot air into this tent-like blanket thing and two shots into my IV of god-knows-what pain killers. needless to say, i was the comfiest person ever and spent two extra hours in the revovery room sleeping.

i woke up, took a peek at my boobies, and man, they're fantastic!! i can't believe they looked so good! the drugs were in full effect and i was only wearing blankets on top, so i started asking all the nurses to look at them and give me their opinions... ugh, looking back it was a bit embarassing, but damn, i've been waiting my whole life for these!! :-)

anyway, surgery went great yesterday morning and the hours have melted together since then - i still can't believe it was yesterday that i had the surgery and not today... good old percoset and valium will do that i suppose! :-) i'm starting to really get the hard-hitting pain, but looking at myself topless in the mirror is reminding me that it's totally worth it. i hope everyone's experience is as good as mine has been!
