Peek a Boobs!!
I finally have the energy to tell my story with you all, and recommend some things I never would have thought of beforehand.
The day of the surgery was scary but not too bad. My time got moved up to 7:00am instead of 9:45 but that was fine with me since I get STARVING in the morning. I met with the anesthesiologist who went over my allergies to meds and I also mentioned that I would like my anti-nausea meds boosted WAY the heck up. I didn't receive a full general anesthesia but not completely twilight so I wasn't supposed to get too nauseas from what he told me. Anywho, in the surgery room is when my freaking out started. They had a lot of trouble getting a vein so the nerves just piled up but the nurses were all chatting with me and my surgeon even came in and massaged my forehead. The next thing I know I feel a cool rush up my arm and im instantly tired, and then I'm out. I have always had problems waking up from anesthesia so I wasn't surprised when I woke up and was shaking uncontrollably. They upped by my meds and gave me an anti-nausea suppository since I also felt very sick. But after that, I felt fine and asked to go home. I ended up only getting 450 implants as well, I guess my boobs were too young and tight for anything bigger but I trust his opinion! For the next few hours all I remember is my mom going in and out of my room giving me different pain meds and feeding me crackers. I will tell you, the thing that truly saved my life through all of this was, believe it or not, a FORK! It was VERY hard to itch anywhere not being able to move my arms and this fork was truly a lifesaver. haha. I knew it would be something I would laugh about later. Other than that, my days have been pretty rough but I can feel myself getting better everyday. My only problem is that I can't seem to have a BM!!!! Does anyone have any suggesstions?? I've taken 3 laxatives in the last 24 hours and still NOTHING!! EEK! I think once that happens, I will feel SO much better....I've swtiched to Tylenol now for pain so hopefully things will 'get moving' soon. I may also get my appetite back as well... But beyond all of that, my BF has been the most fantastic person throughout all of this. He brought me flowers each day he came to visit at my parents and I couldn't ask for anyone better. (Besides my mom, of course!) I know my story isn't all that uplifting or inspirational, but I really think it's important for those of you getting BA's to know that it's not the easiest thing in the world but I have nooo regrets so far and I haven't even seen the girls yet!! They are wrapped up and I hurt too much to bring them out to play. Just go in knowing that this is a pretty big surgery that everyone responds differently to! I know I was expecting a breezy and simple time and it's definite;y been a struggle. Can't wait to post pics later when things 'settle' and feel better!!!!

Thanks all! The fork really was the life saver!!!
I am finally off my pain meds and doing much much much better. The only uncomfy thing is the compression strap, but I'm guessing it's uncomfy because it's doing its job. I'm hoping to finally leave the house today...that is if I can manage to get my hair washed or not...I have thick hair extensions so it should be quite interesting...really wished I looked good in hats. I know the BF is dying to take me out and show off the girls as best he can (so cute!!) ![]() Oh, and on a side note, the first day he brought me flowers it came with two balloons and he explained that he couldn't decide whether to get me the "Congrats" or "Get Well Soon" balloon so he got both. Just thought that was adorable and had to share

Hey there girlie girl....I had the same problem on BM..I went 7 days without one!!!! I was sooooo miserable when the pain meds wore off, I tired to keep the water going and I was taking otc laxatives....but nothing!!! when I did finally go, It felt like I was passing a rock!! no kidding! I worried about my bp rising I was so miserable...but after everything moved.....for about 1/2 day....it just kept coming....I never thought I would be happy to sit on the toilet....but I WAS GRATEFUL!!!!!! That was the most rough time I had. Congrats on the girls!!!! I know you will be just as thrilled with yours as I am with mine!!!

LOL at the fork, The first day after surgery I had to keep calling my hubby to come itch various parts of me that I couldn't reach. He finally went out and bought me one of those long back scratchers.
