In the beginning...
I was a 34C since I was 12 years old and have gone all the way up to a DD while nursing. But then... I quit breastfeeding and my breasts shrunk to a 34B. When I started working out, they became a very small B. After some time, I gained weight and my breasts would go from a full B to a small C. But I always missed my bigger boobies. I kept considering getting a BA but it was never the right time.

Deciding to do it...
Four years later, I made up my mind. I finally paid off a bunch of debt and figured, hey why why not start saving up for a boob job? So I started saving my money and looking into PSs. After much deliberation, I finally decided on Dr. Cohen. His website was great and I loved the before and afters.

Consultations...
I only made that one consultation. No other doctor seemed as good as Dr. Cohen. I just knew he'd be a great fit for me. So my friend and I went in together and he took over an hour with us, answering all of our questions and going into so much detail. He examined our breasts and took pictures. Then Mary took us to her office and I put down the $500 right then to book a surgery. I knew Dr. Cohen would be the best doctor for me so I didn't bother getting consults with anyone else. I had my pre-op the day before surgery since I lived 3 hours away. We looked at pictures to discuss the look I was going for. He told me in detail what to expect before and after the surgery. I left his office feeling a lot less nervous about the big day. I had to get 4 prescriptions... Keflex, Valium, Percocet, and Phenergan. Thankfully there was a Walmart near my hotel.

Big Boobie Day arrives...
I got my BA on July 9. He has a small, seperate waiting room for pre-op patients so that was nice. The nurse took my vital signs and had me pee in a cup. My blood pressure was a bit higher than normal (135/85!), probably because of jitters lol. I then changed into a hospital gown and compression stockings. The nurse went through the typical questions with me and made me feel at ease. Soon the doctor came in and reviewed was what going to happen. He then marked my body with a Sharpie, right down the middle, and around the contours of my breasts. He joked with me and was very calming. Lastly, the anesthesiologist came in. Dr. Gunn was amazing. He was very kind and laughed with me. He used Lidocaine before he inserted the IV, which turned out to only be a 30G. He put in some Versed and soon I felt very loopy lol. I was helped to the OR and of course I don't remember anything after laying down on the OR table.

I woke up in the recovery room, very nauseous. The anesthesiologist told the nurse to give me Zofran. That didn't work so he had her give me some Phenergan, but within minutes I threw up. Ugh. I soon started to feel better. I was all doped up and in a good amount of pain. But my friend gave my a Percocet every 2 hours. I was definately loopy.

The following days in the hotel...
I was easily tired and I definately had a hard time. I had to take my Percocet and Phenergan regularly. I did need Valium at bedtime. It wasn't easy. But I tried to get up when possible. Using my arms was damn near impossible so forget showering or doing my hair lol. I had a great friend to help me out though.

5 days post-op...
I feel so much better. My chest does feel tight and sore. I do get tired more easily than usual. On occassion, I feel a "swooshing" in my left breast. I ice my breasts regularly and that helps so much. The massages are getting easier. But I am thrilled with how I look. I love my new boobs and I wish I did this sooner.

...about my wonderful boyfriend. He's in Iraq so he couldn't be with me. But very soon after I came back to my hotel room from surgery, I got flowers!!! He ordered flowers for me so I could have something nice to look at in my hotel and wanted me to feel better. And he gave me friend "orders" to take good care of his baby. He was so sweet and I am so thankful that he was so good to me, especially while I was all doped up and completely irrational lol.

that was a great story! your boobies look great btw. i cannot wait until mine and everytime i read a story, it just gets me more nervous. but it looks as though u had a great recovery! congrats!
