My New Boobies--Yay!
Hi everyone,
![]() It's been such a long wait for me. I joined this forum a few months ago and it seemed like the time just creeped by. But being a part of this forum has been such a huge support for me and I was not as nervous as I thought I would be. Having the information from all the stories of your experiences helped alleviate some of those fears. The reason why I had my BA done is that I've always been about a 34B before my 2 pregnancies and when I was done with my pregnancies and breastfeeding (breastfed the first for 1 year and the 2nd for 18 months, my boobies were very deflated and I became a very sad looking 34A, no regrets the kids are so healthy). Yesterday was finally my turn! I woke up at 3am and couldn't go back to sleep, so I just kind of surfed the net--I was so excited!!! I had a car pick me up at 5:30am (my case was scheduled for 7:30am). The nurses were so nice at the hospital. I met with the anesthesiologist who put in my IV and the PS came in and marked me up. She is so nice, has the best bedside manner. I felt so comfortable with her. They offered me Valium to calm me down, but I didn't even need it. A little before 7:30 I was brought to the OR by this really sweet nurse and helped me onto this comfy table that had an air mattress on it (was like lying on a cloud). They strapped me in (I made a joke about how it was too late to change my mind at that point) and everyone kind of laughed then the next thing I knew I was out. I was in the recovery room for an hour, then the holding area for another hour. I remember the anesthesiologist walked by, smiled and gave me a thumbs up and asked if I was okay. I was able to walk to the bathroom and back but I felt a little whoozy. My husband picked me up around 11:30am. I felt pretty good yesterday, felt like there was a elephant sitting on my chest, but otherwise, I wasn't in that much pain. I took about 2 tabs of Vicodin total yesterday. Today I had to take 3, was a little more uncomfortable today, because of the spasms. I took a Valium in between doses of Vicodin for muscle spasm yesterday and one today. I didn't take any sleeping pills or the nausea medication that the PS wrote for me. I felt pretty good, grateful that I wasn't nauseous---that's the worst feeling in the world. I was okay fixing my hair. I kind of made 2 ponytails and that's easy to do. I gave myself a sponge bath because I can't shower till my post-op appt. Going to the bathroom was ok, a tip for gals going for a BA is after ur procedure to get the tissue first while you're standing, otherwise it's a bitch to try and reach for the tissue. Pulling up my pants was easy. I can pretty much dress myself. I opted for a strapless cotton dress for today (so much easier!) I have other tips that made things easier (you learn to adapt when you're incapacitated). Loosen the bottles of water at the bedside before your procedure, that way you don't have to try and twist the bottle or ask your DH to help you do that. He has enough to try and help you with LOL. Also, it helps to put your clothes within reach (button down, or strapless dress that you just pull up--easier to go to the bathroom with a skirt).Anyway, I have this ace wrap around my chest and of course I couldn't wait to unwrap it and take a look. I had my DH unwrap it and they look amazing. I asked for a small C--I went for Allergan Silicone 286cc moderate round. They don't look that high up and they look even. She did a great job. The only bruising is on the incision site. I've been taking Arnica and Bromelain to prevent swelling and bruising and it seems to be working. The ice bags help too. It feels so good with the ice on it. My goal is to go out tomorrow with the hubby and kids, I've been feeling better and better, and there are longer stretches where I take my Vicodin, so hopefully I can get out tomorrow and do something. I felt so cooped up at home today. So, I am officially in boobieville, really happy to finally join you other gals. I can't wait to go shopping for new clothes and lingerie! I get to donate all my bras and start from the beginning. That's going to be so much fun! I won't have to go for the padded bras! Thanks to all you gals who helped me with the wealth of information. Hearing it from other women is so helpful. It means a lot to me. The only other surgery I ever had was for my wisdom teeth, so this was a big deal. Will keep you all updated! Hope this info will help other women going for their BAs!!!Lena

Yippeee! Congrats on the new boobies and a great experience. Hope the rest of your recovery goes well. It's the best feeling to be able to shop for new bras and see how good you look in them ain't it? Welcome to Boobieville!!

I loved reading your BA story. Thanks for the tips, hopefully I will remember them when I have my BA....whenever
that is. I am thinking of having a car service to take me my surgery.
