well I arrived at the hospital yesterday (24th) around 7:00a.m. per my PS's insturction to be there early.. course the hospital thought I was way early, so they started an IV on me, very very slowly. My PS arrived, did the normal drawing on me like a canvas.. told me not to worry and they would be giving me some happy drugs soon. Haha.
Few minutes later the anesthiaologist came in, said hi, asked me questions.. and than said it would be soon.. THAN my nurse came in, said she had a happy cocktail for me, to make me relax before the surgery.. And my gosh, it was a great cocktail, because I was out before they got me to the operating room. I don't remember anything! When I woke up, I was done.. not too much pain, just heaviness and tightness. The nurse chuckled a bit and said.. yeah you were out before you even got the general anesthia.
Had slight complication, which has worried everyone.. was bleeding pretty good, and took awhile to get the bleeding under control, so my surgery ran a little over 2 hours.. BUT the PS said everything else looked wonderful. and in fact my left dropped into its original place, almost perfectly already! my right is riding high, but she assured me that would even out..
My PS has called me twice last night, my husband took the calls. And she said it was good for me to move around but to limit my arm movement such as reaching, just because she didn't want to risk opening up any of those viens that gave her a hard time..
Been on top of my pain pills, taking every 4 hours.. even though I am not in PAIN, just heavy and tight. My throat hurts and can't get this cotton mouth to go aways no matter what I drink! assuming that is normal.
Getting ready to go to PS office to have her remove bandages (get to see my franken boobs for the first time) and she will put me in my sports bra.
Sleeping is very difficult, as I am a tummy sleeper, but the fear of the pain keeps me from not moving. hahaha.
Anyway, thats my story.. funny how I was worried about being put under and yet, I can't recall anything.. its great!
Oh, and I got 420cc in each boob. moderate + mentor, saline.. Course they are little blocks of granite right now, and my cleveage is itchy! hahaha.
Anyway, I'll let you all know what my boobs look like after todays appt. crossing fingers not tooo hideous. haha! Love you all, thank you so much for your support! Talk soon.

Hi!! Thanks for sharing your story!! I was frightened about being put under too! It was my very first surgery, so I thought it would be scarier than it actually was! I remember being in the OR and falling asleep lol It was a nice sleep. I'm glad everything was under control while they were operating! That made me shiver!

Hooray for being able to see your boobies! I'm sure you can't wait!! Take care of yourself, good to hear your on top of your meds they do help a lot! CONGRATS again!!!

Hey! Congrats on your new girls! Sorry to hear you had some excess bleeding, but it sounds like your PS got everything under control and all is fine! I'm happy to hear your experience with the anesthesia, since that is the part I'm most nervous about too. I'm pretty much a lightweight, so maybe I'll be out before going to the OR too! Wouldn't that be perfect. Good luck at your appointment today, and don't worry. I am sure they look great! Get lots of rest and let us know how it goes when you can!

Congratulations! I was exactly the same way! I was out before I even got to the OR. My PS tells me I walked in there, but I don't remember a thing. I was also scared to death of being put under and I don't remember any of it.

The tummy sleeping thing has been an issue for me and bc of the tylenol pm I'm on my back with NO movement and my arms crossed on my tummy, it's freaked DF out, he says I looked dead, lol, not the normal rolling all around and on him thing!
Funny how when waiting to have BA it felt like it went sooo slow but now it seems like it flew by! I could hardly believe when I saw you post ur story! lol

I know it is crazy about getting put out and then getting up like 2 minutes later even though it was like 2 hrs. So weird. I hate the throat thing though I still talk weird hoping that goes back to normal.

i liked the story! it sounds like everything went well.. lets just hope those vains stay closed! lol yeah im alittle scared too of being out under, but i have been put under before and i think im the most nervous about the IV..lol im a wimp and i HATE HATE getting IV's put in me. idk what it is but when i had all 3 of my kids and had an IV, i thought that was the worst part of the whole delivery.. and im also alittle frightened of the fact that he is going to CUT MY CHEST OPEN.. but WOW u sounded like the surgery was a piece of cake. YOU GO GIRL

may be just in my head. but I believe both my girls have dropped a little already. still hard as rocks, but actually look like boobs. do not like the tightness and heaviness, especially when sitting up from lying down.. *ouch* but glad it is done. and really no PAIN, just discomfort. Been drinking, drinking and drinking more ice water.. and finally my throat is getting clearer. but at times sound like I'm losing my voice. Course some of that could be from me not smoking anymore! Yep you heard me, have not smoked one cig since the day before surgery.

yay! guna try and stay smoke free..

ya know, was definetly worked up about it for nothing. aside from the inital anxiety and boredom as you wait your turn.. once the docs all start arriving and talking to ya and getting your pumped full of drugs, you don't recall anything..glad its over with...
