3 days later...my story!

Hi girls! I'm 3 days post op and doing ok. Still in a bit of pain (although I think my back hurt the most throughout this whole process!) and hanging in there. I have slight brusing, which I'm a little worried about, but I think that's normal. Tomorrow is my post-op appointment and the PS is going to remove the bandages, so we'll see what I look like so far! And of course, I'll keep you all updated.

Soo my surgery was scheduled for 9AM, and I had to be there at 8:30. I woke up VERY nervous, changed into my jogging pants and sweater, and waited for my mom to finish getting ready so we could start leaving. In case some of you girls didn't read my previous thread about my bf not being very supportive..well, he still wasn't but he managed to show up at my house in a slightly better mood to drive me and my mom to the PS office. We arrived at the office, and they called me in. The nurse (who was SO nice!) asked me to take the preg test which made me even more nervous because that meant the surgery was getting closer. So I finished peeing in the cup and waited outside of the bathroom which is right next to the recovery room, waiting for the nurse to give me more instructions. As I'm waiting, I hear another patient who is recovering breathing heavily and saying "help me..helppp me. Is anybody there?? Hello??" Of course, I FREAKED OUT!!!!!! I wanted to walk right out of the office and not do this at all. The nurse finally came and I told her everything I heard. She went to check on the patient, who was seemingly delirious from the anesthesia and she apologized for me having to hear that! I was still not too sure..my mom came in afterwards to sit with me and wait for the PS to arrive to make final decisions regarding size. He finally arrived after what seemed to be an eternity, I decided on a small C, he marked me up and off I went. I said bye to my mom and walked over to the anesthetist. He pinched me a few times until he found a good vein, and I was out like a light! They used Twilight on me, by the way. I woke up right next to the very nice nurse and my first question to her was "How do they look???". She started laughing and said they looked beautiful! I was very woozy and the next thing I remember was being wheeled out to the car. I got home, slept for the rest of the day until I had to use the bathroom. Standing up and sitting back down was by far the worst of it all. I had no idea how much chest muscles are used on a daily basis! I also could not find a comfy position, as my back always seemed to hurt no matter how I sat. I had about 3 pillows on my recliner and was still hurting. I hope the worst is over. Keep me in your thoughts, please! Tomorrow is my post op and I hope everything is looking good. My right boob feels a little numb though. Ohh and I got 275cc f/t 300! Wonder what size that'll get me! I started off with a big A, small B. Well ladies, please cross your fingers for me and thank you for reading my story!

aw ur story was great and sorry to hear about ur bf not being supportive.. he will love them and wonder what he was thinking.. wow i hope i dont hear something scar like that right before surgery! lol but u did a great job and cant wait to see the outcome.. hope ur back feels better and bruising is totally normal..

Congrats girl! Im glad your doing well. Oh and just so you know the numbness is normal. I still cant feel my right one and the lower part of my left. GL on your post op, mine is tomorrow too

let me know how your post-op went.. i really want to hear what size u are...because i heard Dr. Lenny likes to do them real big, and i also heard he likes to do them real small.... i would like a FULL C.. but i don't want a B.. and i don't want a D either!....lol so def let me know how close he came to a small c for you...

I've heard the same thing about Dr. Lenny..that he likes to go big. But honestly, at the consultation, he examined me and said "You don't want to go too crazy with this...small C the most". Soo..I think that may just be a myth! I'm only 5 days out, so it's too soon to tell but they're looking like a full B, small C so far - which is what I wanted. You can also take pictures to the consultation to give him an idea of what your looking for.

Holy cow did I start laughing when I read about the patient screaming "help me" in the next room. HA! I swear, if I hear that coming from the recovery room I'll probably pass out on the spot! My BA is just 3 days away and Im already nervous...hench the three glasses of wine I've had tonight! Im happy to hear things went well with you, hope you have a speedy recovery!

You are doing super wonderful already it sounds like. ROTFL *Help Me* that is NOT what you want to be hearing at surgery time.. hope that person is okay. Keep us posted!!! And congrats of course, on the new additions!

Congratulations!! I would have freaked if I'd heard that patient. I hope your boyfriend has come around and is more supportive. It is nice that he came and drove you.
