BA this am - so excited!

Hello ladies!

This has all happened so fast it seems. I had my pre-op consult just Thursday & my surgery at 7:30 this am. At my pre-op consult, I think I had all the tales of booby greed in my head. I am 5'8", 135 lbs, 34A on a good day after having 2 wonderful babies & breastfeeding both. So, I was looking for a full C. My husband & I went in last Thursday, and took them for a test drive. We started with 400, then I tried 450, then 500. I decided I like the 500 look under my black t-shirt, forgetting all about my natural full C desire! I left excited, and me & the hubby went dinner.

That night I asked my husband, after looking at more before & after pics, I decided on 400cc right? He rreminded me it was 500, and I freaked out My surgery was to be Monday (today), and I had only Friday to make any final tweaks! After posting on the board, getting some wonderful support form you ladies, I called my PS first thing Friday am & expressed my concerns. She told me she'd bring the 450 7 500 into surgery, and that since I was tall and not super small framed (go away last 10 lbs of baby fat!) that she thought both woud be proportionate, but we could discuss again Monday am & she could also tell better in surgery.

So the weekend flew by. I had boughts of anxiety on a couple occasions, watching my 2 beautiful kids & husband and feeling a bit selfish and worried. I stayed busy all weekend so I would keep my mind clear. Last night my hubby & I got everything ready at home & for my morning, and went to bed at 9. Needless to say, he slept, I didn't!. I got up at 4:30 am, tired of rolling around in bed, and he followed shortly after. We had to be at the surgery center at 6:30, so I showered and got kids ready to go to Grandma's & off we went.

At the surgery center, it was paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork. No pregnancy test because I had a tubal last year, so in we went. Undressed, blood pressure, temp, the usual stuff. Nurse talked to me about giving me IV and how the needle might hurt a bit, which always amuses me because a larger porion of my upper body is covered on tattoos! It just pinched as usual. Everyone was so nice at the center - I was afraid I would get some crunchy judgemental people, but not one bad experience with anyone. My surgery nurse arrived, then my PS. We discussed my desires one more time, and she made sure I was ok with my choice. Then the anethesiologist came in. She told me what to expect before & after. She told me it was just like any other surgery I had, but this time when I woke up, I got a surprise! She also said it would feel like I had done 100 push ups, then someone made me keep doing about 500 more. She added " I know from expereince", winked, and said I would LOVE it. It was so great to have so many women be so positive when I was nervous. After that, she added some happy meds into my IV, my hubby kissed me, and that's all I remember. Next thing I know, I was waking up & I HAD BOOBIES! Hooray for boobies. I was very groggy & had to pee REALLY BAD! I kept falling in out of sleep, but was finaly awake enough that I could get dressed & PEE (yipee!) I was tight & sore on the way home & starting to feel some pain, but nothing unbearable. I ate some crackers & juice in the car, and by the time I got home, my little touch of nausua was gone.

At home, hubby gave me one pain pill & I dozed for a while. Now I'm up walking as directed for a few minutes, sharing this overly non eventful story of mine, and then I'm going to go back & lay down. My boobs look high & hard - to be expected, but I am still SOOOO HAPPY & EXCITED. Everything has gone by so fast, and I am so thankful that all has been so smooth so far. (knock on wood)

I know this wasn't very exciting, but mostly I wanted to say THANK YOU to all on the board for all the support & positivity. It's so awesome! And I know several of you have your surgeries this week, so I just wanted you to wish you all as good of an experience as I have had...I'll have you in my thoughts. I'll update with pics in a few days.

Congrats!!! I can't believe you were able to write all that today! I hope I feel good enough to do that too the day of mine! Can't wait to see the pics! Take it easy & rest, rest, rest!!!!!

Ok, day 2 kinda sucked. I was in more much pain & really swollen, but overall, honestly, nothing unbearable, and I still only took one (instead of 2) pain meds each time. Slept ALOT, was very tired & uncomfortable. My PS and the nurse both called on day 1 and day 2, and they told me day 2 was usually the worst! So hopefully, I am over the hump. Today (day 3) is much better! Swelling is starting to go down a bit & I don't feel quite as hard. I iced alot yesterday & today, and took my arnica & brom. religiously. I am bruised alot, and still high and funky, so no pictures yet. But, overall, it is really going smooth & I can't wait for a few more days to pass so they can look not so strange!
