Ok girls so I had my BA on friday and i decided to post my story today. I'm 20 years old, not married and no kids. I'm thin, tall and have a big butt haha. So i just wanted to get my BA to be a little bet more proportionate since i didn't have any boobs. I'm currently attending pre med in order to become a surgeon so i've always been interested about medicine, surgery and stuff. When i was at high school back in Venezuela, I did this research paper about how BA's affect women's self-steem and actually got to see a BA live the whole procedure. The results of course said that most women who have had a BA had an "improved" self-esteem. So, after that i said I will definitely get a BA when i got older. So, I started college in Venezuela, then moved here and started my pre med and started to study in order to get my private pilot license, i've been really busy i did summer classes and everything and now that i'm on vacation i decided it would be the perfect time so i started looking information about the doctors and everything here. Went to the consult with my PS and scheduled the surgery that same day. Finally, friday arrived and it was time to get some boobs!. I was scheduled for 11:30 am on friday and the nurse told me to be there at 11 am, so i woke up that morning i had my pj's on my bag and everything ready, a friend, my mom, a friend of my mom's and her daugther and of course me, left the house at 9:45am to get there in time, since i didn't want to deal with any traffic. We arrived there at 10:45 and had to wait more than an hour because the doctor was with another patient and it was taking longer because it was a breast reconstruction. My mom got really nervous because of all the waiting and i was the one trying to calm her down hah I wasn't nervous at all, wich surprised me because i thought i would be nervous. At about 12 pm they got me into a room, took my vital signs, my pregnancy test and i put on my gown. Then my mom had to leave because her friend who lives in houston had to go to the airport to catch her plane, so i told her i'd me fine and she could leave. She left and i layed on the bed and almost fell asleep haha until the anaesthetist came asked me a bunch of questions and explained me everything about the " happy juice" haha. Then the nurse came and told me it was time so we went to the OR and one guy first tried to put my IV. He tried in two different veins and he couldn't get it i was likeee HEEELP haha, then i started to feel dizzy and i almost fainted..so then the anaesthetist tried and finally got it. Then they helped me move to the surgical table since i was so dizzy, putted my arms in T position, put some cables in my back. Then the anaesthetist said she'll give me happy juice, i said YEYYYYYYYYYYY, and that's it last thing i can remember haha. Then i woke up saw my mom, the nurse, my PS, i said thanks like 30 times to my PS and fell asleep again haha. Then i woke up the nurse said everything was great, gave me some instructions, the PS came and said the same thing and said good bye. I got up feeling great, i sat on the wheel chair, the nurse drove me to the car and we drove back home talking etc. I didn't have anyh nausea at all, i got home walking around, putting on some ice watching tv etc. I slept great that night and no pain. Thanks to the local anesthesia my PS used! YEY! haha. Day two, until now. Has been the same, feeling great walking around the house, watching tv, no problem sleeping but HOW I MISS MY BED! i've been sleeping on the recliner these days. I've felt almost no pain just discomfort, the only thing is that i've been really depressed because i HATE being locked in my house, i need to get out and do stuff or i'll drive myself crazy.That's why i didn't write my story before because i've been feeling more sad than happy

So i've being thinking whyyy did i do this to myself and stuff but i think it's normal to think that these first few days right? I have to wear the strap until thursday hopefully when i get my stitches removed and i can start wearing a sports bra. So..I can't wait until thursdayyyy!! and can't wait to take the new babies for a walk haha get some fresh air! Congratulations Flaaak!!!!!!! The first few days I asked myself 'why' I did it ... but it was VERY soon after,,, that I kept asking, 'why didn't I do this sooooner?!??!?"

It has only been 15 days and I can't stop lovin' the new me. Congratulations to you. Relax, you will be non-stop smiling soon!

yay you got boobies too.. we both had our BAs on the same day! u love them right? me too..lol they are BIG. yeah i hate not being able to leave the house.. bedridden....sucks.. thats why ive been on this site 24/7..lol i just cant wait to get out and SHOP! good luck and hope ur recovery keeps going smoothly

You'll feel better once you start getting to do the "norm" of things. Just getting out, made me feel better... showering... *salvating* THAT was the icing on the cake for me! LOL. Try taking a little walk outside, get some fresh air!! Bet you look beautiful!! Keep us posted!!

Congratulations on your surgery! I had problems with them putting in the IV, too. That was the worst part of that whole day for me! HAHA. Nice to talk to other people who are healing and going through the recovery process at the same time as me--that way I can keep myself in check and reassure myself that yes, this is normal...

Thankssss to all of you girls!!! I must say I feel pretty fantastic right now haha i went to my PS today, he removed the stiches, the scar on righty looks kind of open still but my PS assured me it's going to be okay and i believe him haha. He checked my babies and said they look perfet, i don't have to use the strap anymore YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY..

hah but i started massaging today, and the nurse who taught, DID THOSE MASSAGES HURT!!!..hah but everything else looks great, no swealling and my next appointment is in a month. And i'm inlove with my new babies!..Thanks to all once again!!
