IG's got some Bewbies!

Finally! Today is Day1 Post. My surgery was set for 2:00 pm.

I woke up at 5:30 am to eat since I couldn't anything for 8 hours prior to my surgery and drink anything 6 hours prior to surgery (as a bodybuilder I have a set alarm in me to eat every 2-3 hours and these are substanstial meals). I had a plain bagel and water. My daughter had Freshman day (oh my, she is going into High school. Where has all these year gone by?) so she caught her bus and she was out of the door at 6:30. My son also had registration at school so I got ready, spent some time on JBI and woke him up, gave him some breakfast and we were out of the door at 8:30. We got home around 9:00 and then we left again to the nail salon to get pampered. I got my tips taken off and just did a french manicure and pedi. It took longer than expected so we rushed home and I changed into my new VS PINK outfit and then hubby, son and I were out the door. It was about a 30 min ride to the surgery center. As were were driving there, I realized I still had my makeup on. Uh oh. Well, I assumed they had make up wipes so I didn't stress too much about it.

We get there, checked in and sat in the waiting room. Soon after they called me back to sigh more paperwork. I went back to the lobby to wait until the nurse called me back. She wanted me to give a urine sample for pregnancy and after that was done, we went in to a room where I changed into a hospital gown and compression stockings. I was allowed to leave my underwear on. She had me hop onto the warm, heated bed (that felt nice). She took my blood pressure and that was normal. She had me take an antacid. We talked for a bit and then she administered my IV. Ugh, I hate these things. She was thrilled though because I'm so vascular and she had her choices of veins. lol. She said she rarely has a patient that has visible veins to choose from or she sometimes has to find one. As she was doing this, Dr. Wolfe walked in and said, did you have a difficult finding a vein on Tracy? We all laughed.

At this point, they brought my husband and son in. We talked for abit. My son was asking questions about all the gadets that was in the room. Typcial 9 yr. old boy. We prayed together which I needed that and I was so calmed after that. I knew God would take care of me.

Dr. Wolfe then came by and went over my chart. He then had me slip off to one side of the bed and he started to mark me up with his magic markers. He told me he was 99% sure that he will be able to fit the 425cc in, but if not he has 400 and 375's with him. I told him, please try your hardest to get the 425's in. We chatted for a moment. I really like Dr. Wolfe. He made me feel very comfortable.

Shortly after that, Dr. Carpenter (Anesthesiologist) came in and went over what he was going to do. He was very nice as well and I felt like I was in very good hands. He and my son talked baseball. They both play 2nd base and my son had a blast talking to him. They talked about the Rockies games and stuff like that.

After he left, the nurse came back in and she administer the "happy medicine". She told my family, give your hugs and kisses because mom will be in happy land very shortly. So we hugged and kissed. Then I said, oooo.....I'm woozey. Next thing I know it they wheeled me off and.....

I woke up and said, "am I done"? I couldn't believe it! I finally had boobs! I looked down and thought, is that mines? The nurse and I were talking and I honestly do not remember all of our conversation. She asked me how I was feeling. I told her I was hungry (typically bodybuilder lol) she gave me a choice of crackers, applesauce, graham crackers (I wanted to say ALL, but) I choose graham crackers. She also gave me a choice on drinks. She said, water, juice, sprite, coke....she didn't have to go any further, I said coke. I was in heaven! I gobbled down those graham cracks....hmmmmm! She helped me dress in my clothes and then she called my family in.

It was so great to see them. I got kisses from them. I had the nurse tell my hubby what she has told me earlier cuz' I only remember bit and pieces.

The pain wasn't too bad. It just felt like some of you ladies told me....a heavy chest workout.

Dr. Wolfe and Dr. Carpenter came in to check on me and told me that I did very well and they were really pleased.

The nurse told us we could take all the time we needed and when we were ready we got the okay to go.

We left shortly after that. Cam asked me if I was hungry and I said, I would love some kind of milkshake or something like that. I finally settled for a caramel coffee freeze from Sonics. YUM!

On the way home, Cam said he spoke with Dr. Wolfe and he said that my chest muscles were never thick. Must've been the heaving pressing of 55-60 pound db's.

At home, I tried to do some things on my own, because I knew Cameron (hubby) had to go to work that night (he works from 1am-10 am), Surprisingly, I was able to walk up the stairs by myself (we have a tri-level home) and go the bath room by myself (yeehaw!). The only thing I couldn't do was open up the child proof med bottles. hahaha

I set my alarm for every 4 hours to take my pain meds and every 6 hours for the valium.

I was able to take my bra off and look at them. Slight bruising where the incisions are, crease. And that is mostly where I feel the pain. My left nimple is slightly numb and there is some swelling on the upper part of the breast, but the right side nipple sensation is good and no swelling. I was advise not to use any ice packs or add anything cold to the breast. I had Cam takes some pics. Cam said they are big, but I think they could be bigger. lol. But they certainly look better than before, that's for sure! I really want to go out and get some pretty bras soon!


All in all, I had a wonderful experience and as I mentioned in previous posts, that biggest fear for me was the pain afterwards. So thank you to everyone for you prayers, your warm thoughts and mostly for your support. I cannot explain in words enough now much you all truly was a part of this all

Thanks K~Girl. I know I was very skeptical about the entire procedure, but coming on here and reading everyone experiences and then going through it myself, it's a piece of cake. Wow, I'm thrilled!

THANKS! Yup, I resting alot. I'm sad I can't train for a good 4-6 weeks, but it'll all be worth it. So what you are up to now-a-days?

Island Girl I loooved your story. So detailed and excited. You sound like you are doing very well!

I was always a little self conscious with my trainers veins and muscles before breast augmentation. Without boobies I always thought people saw me as masculine, but training is what I love to do... the new boobies make me feel like a girl again, STRONG but feminine!!

Good for you in going 425cc to start! You are going to look fabulous with your new girls.
