Today has gone by pretty fast. My BA was originally scheduled for 10am this morning, but they called at 8:45 asking if I could come sooner. Good thing too, I was going stir crazy not knowing what to do with myself all morning. I dressed in PJ bottoms and a light zip up sweat shirt.
We arrived at the surgical center by 9:15 and they brought me right into my room (DH was able to come too). We tried joking around with the nurse a bit to ease the tension - I was growing increasingly nervous & scared - but she didnt exactly have a sense of humor. She spoke to me a bit about what was going to happen and brought some of the other people that were going to be involved in my surgery. My doctor came in too and reviewed everything, make me feel comfortable & I reiterated that I just wanted to be a normal person, with normal proportions... that I trusted him. He assured me all would be fine. As I was speaking to the anethesiologist, another nurse put my IV in - totally painless, she was awesome! Then it was time to go to the operating room, I left DH in my room and the nurse & I started walking over - now I was really getting scared... when we got to the room I lost it and started crying. They laid me on the table and started trying to calm me down with jokes and stuff, before I knew it I was out. I woke up remembering that I had some really crazy dreams - about pirates I think... Its really fuzzy, but I think I was on a table and the nurse asked if I could transfer into a wheel chair, which I did. She wheeled me back into my assigned room and moved me into this really uncomfortable recliner chair (that before surgery I had thought was so comfy - weird). There was alot of pressure on my chest but, fortunately i guess, my main concentration was focused on a pain in my back - possibly a pinched nerve or something - that the recliner chair certainly wasnt helping. I hung out in that room with DH for a bit, drank 4 cups of cranberry juice and ate some graham crackers. Because I couldnt move my arms all that much i ended up dropping some crumbs down... my cleavage - yes, i have cleavage! But hte nurse was pretty upset because of course we dont want that getting in the stitches or anything so she got them out with some tape. I just couldnt stop smiling because I actually had cleavage. I was also surprised that my boobs seemed, iuno - the same size as they do when i have a padded bra. I was expecting way bigger. When my doctor came in, he explained that he tried but was only able to fit 270cc's in one and 300 in the other. My frame simply would not take more. We had originally talked about going somewhere between 325 and 350, so I was pretty shocked at this. I went home shortly after - have peaked a little at the new boobies, they seem slightly bigger than what I had when I was breastfeeding (was barely a 34B at that time). So only time will tell. Does anyone have any similar stats they could share with what sizes you ended up with? I'd be really interested to hear... Oh... they are silicone unders - I had forgotten to mention that. So far I feel fantastic, can eat pretty much anything, I just have to be careful when moving my arms. I also have to have DH flip up the recliner for me, as I cant move enough to do that. Thanks for listening :-)

Thanks for sharing your story. Maybe they'll look bigger to you once you get the bandages off and everything. Let us know!

Thanks for sharing ur story with us! It sucks that the PS couldn't get the size u wanted to fit but it will look perfectly natural and anything is better than pre BA I'm sure! Plus you may be able to go bigger in the future. I'm sure they look wonderful and I know we all wish we went a bit bigger at times so you're not alone...I hope your recovery is nice and easy for you!

Thanks for sharing your story. I'm sure once everthing is settled, you will be thrilled with the size.
It's unfortunate that sometimes our bodies have limitations, but rest assured that most of our PS out there know exactly what they are doing. I wanted to go bigger myself, but my body just could not hold anything bigger.
