I went to the surgical center at 1:15pm (my appt. was at 2:45 but I had to be there hella early) The called me into the back within 3 minutes...I was suprised! My husband was watching our 11 month old, so he couldn't stay (We were thinking I was gonna be there for about 3 hours)
The nurse was really nice...a bit flighty...but very nice! I got a little teary-eyed bacuse I've never had any surgery or anesthsia and she was right there telling me it won't be as bad as I think (same things you girls all told me in "Post-Op"...lol) I was so nervous I'd never see my baby again or my hubby or I'd accidently get a breast reduction instead of implants(but I'm pretty sure just by looking at me, he'd know!...rofl) Finally my Dr. came in, by 1:45pm, made sure the size, incision and placement were still what I wanted...very nice and reassuring, I love Dr. Wrye!!!! Then about 5 minutes later the anesthsiologist came in and told me everything he was gonna do. I said, "I don't care what you do but please don't let me die...lol" Then he said "I'm gonna put something in you IV that will relax you so you won't be so nervous once we get in th OR...Trust me, once I give this to you, you won't care about anything in th world!" Well, I asked him one more question and can't even remember what I asked ![]() I was completely out. I remember nothing else except slowly waking up and felling the elephant squezzing my boobs. Luckily one thing I remember was the nurse beating it into my head that I shouldn't freak out when I wake up because the rap will be very tight and a lot of women get scared and have panic attacks. Thank the Lord she did that though, because I may have freaked! Well, I was out of surgery and waking up in recovery by 3:15. I was sore and just wanted to be home...but again the awesome nurse called my hubby while I was still out so he would be here by time I could go home! Well I remember the nurse zipping my top but I can't remember how I got my pants on..LMAO!!! My hubby took me home and I was in and out of it on the ride, I got home and felt not too shabby. He's been babying and beeing so damn sweet It's now, what, 8:00pm and I'm doing good...don't get me wrong, I'm still tight, sore, and CANNOT use my arms without pain, but you wondeful ladies were right...The worst part is actually getting to the point and doing it, BY FAR!Thank-you to all the ladies who gave me words of encouragement! If I can ever help you out...just ask ![]() I hope day 2 isn't too bad, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there! I get to take shower, and change into a sports bra Sunday, so I'll try to get pic.s. It's stupid Labor Day so I don't get my next appt. till Tues. Again, thank -you for all your support. Sorry this was so long and sorry if I mis-typed or if I messed up on any sentences...hopefully it'll be understandable, those percocet get me a little loopy.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. They say day two is the worst. That was certainly the case for me.

Lots of good wishes and hopes of a very easy recovery. Since you have been reading this site you probably have a good idea of what the next few weeks will be like so that you can handle all of the little 'normal' bumps! Sounds like you have a great DH helping you! Congrats!

Congratulations ! Glad to hear it went so well. Take really good care of yourself now, get your painkillers on time and do not lift anything heavy. Prop yourself up really well so that your boobs do not get too swollen. You did it !!
