Hi Everyone,

First of all, i love this site. What a great place to get info and support!!

Here's my story:

My boobs haven't grown since I was about 12 leaving me with barely A's for the last 20 years. The icing on the cake was when my own mother, the person who is supposed to tell you that you are perfect just the way you are, told me that if she could afford it, she would get me breast implants.

I have gone back and forth over the years about getting breast implants. I pride myself on being a confident and educated woman. After a divorce and some other traumas I met a wonderful man who makes me feel like a gorgeous princess every day. It became apparent, over time, that my small breasts were impacting our sex life as I found myself holding back and even feeling ashamed- at no fault of his.

We started talking about me getting breast augmentation. The talking turned into scheduling the consultation. At the consultation, my surgeon was awesome in explaining the options and could relate totally with my situation. I had lots of questions because over the last 6 months I have started weight training and needed to know how long I would be out of the gym. Every question was answered and I decided on Mentor Smooth Round 425cc's. My incision will be made around the aereola.

After discussing things with my man and looking at some photos of women with similar builds as me- I started to wonder if I was making the right decision in terms of size. So, when I went in last week for my pre-op appointment I decided to bump up to the 450cc's. This should bring me to a nice 34D.

My surgery is July 9th. Wish me luck!!!

Just a little more info- now that I am not at work...

In searching for a surgeon, I had originally scheduled with a surgeon who had performed an augmentation for a friend of mine. Hers looked great! I have another friend who was scheduled as well. I made the appointment with the surgeons office and my bf scheduled a flight to come in for the appointment. About 10 days before my appointment, the plastic surgeon's office called to re-schedule my consult as there was a "change in the surgeons schedule". Well, I knew better as my appointment was the friday before Memorial Day so the surgeon decided to go on vacay. This irritated me pretty bad so I started the search for a different surgeon. There were several whose websites were very nice. I even posted something on craigslist to see if anyone out there had any advice. I eventually scheduled with my plastic surgeon who came into the office on a friday just to do my consult so my bf didn't lose out on his airfare!!!

My plastic surgeon works out and has implants herself. She showed me her cleavage and discussed all of my options. Once I felt the saline vs. silicone- I knew I wanted silicone. They felt so much better to me! The icing on the cake for me was looking through her previous work. I found a woman with almost the same exact build and measurements as me with about the same size and shape as my breasts and saw the after photos. They were exactly what I wanted.

I can't wait to see how my breasts turn out. I have plenty of worries. After reading some of the other stories and some of the complications, I am a bit paranoid about many things but it's not enough to divert me from wanting the surgery done.

I will be returning to work exactly one week after my surgery. Luckily, I work a desk job. I am really more concerned about being out of the gym.

I love how life can throw us those happy curveballs sometimes. Things happen for a reason, I guess. I just got home from the hospital. I am in tremendous pain but the boobs already look awesome!! I am so happy.....time to pass out from the pain stuff.

*Post Op Update*

Hi Everyone,

THanks for all of the well wishes! I am doing amazingly well. Surgery was Thursday. It was pretty standard. Dr. P came in and marked me up. The nurse had already started my IV and within 15 minutes of my surgeon arriving, I went into the OR. The last thing I remember was flopping over onto the OR table. I dont even remember falling asleep. When I woke up, I felt the usual after surgery WTF feeling. I have had a couple surgeries for other things over the last couple of years (one of which was to repair nerve damage in my leg after being mauled by a pit bull).

Anywho, I do remember waking up and thinking Holy Balls, I can't move! So I was asked if I wanted more for pain which I said OF COURSE! I laid there for about an hour. They let my awesome bf come back to sit with me. I sipped some ginger ale, got dressed (very slowly), and we went home. So, I got into the OR by 7:45am and I was home by 10:30am- not bad.

I got home and wow-I was uncomfortable. It wasn't so much the pain from my boobies but more from my back and being on it constantly. Well, shortly after I got home pure hell started. I had a terrible tension headache from my neck and a lot of nausea in spite of the patch they gave me at the hospital. I swear I would have been just fine if I hadn't had the headache and the nausea. Well, nausea turned into throwing up. I wasn't holding my pain meds or my antibiotic down. I swear the 750mg of Keflex made me feel like I had just eaten a huge clove of garlic. Gross- sorry if TMI. So, at about 8:30pm we called Dr. P who was awesome. She called me in a dissolving thing to make me not throw up anymore. I ripped that stupid patch of and magically no more headache. By 11pm I was actually feeling really good. Really sore but good.

So, Yesterday I pushed it but I felt so good. We went to see Dr. P for my 1 day post op visit. My boobies are sitting super high but looking really good. (Photos being added to my album later today). I went shopping at Target, to the Mall and tried to go to dinner but told my bf that I over did it so we got Chili's to go. It was realy my first whole meal as I have not had a huge appetite. So, today I am going to really relax and allow my body to heal without pushing it. I can't wait for these babies to D&F. I feel like my boobs are practically in my throat!!!

Please let me know if you ladies have any specific questions. Overall, I feel really good. Now I just have to stop being paranoid about CC. AHHH!

I have uploaded photos taken today. I have a bad bruise on my lefty...Getting odd little spasms and such but feel good so far. Please alert me if you see anything alarming!!

I don' think they are very pretty at this point. I hope they turn out beautiful.
