So today was my big day! I didn't get nervous until last night around 7pm and it finally hit me that it was actually happening. Probably luckily for me, the site was down so I couldn't obsess like I normally do on this website . Woke up at 5am this morning, took a shower, left the house at 6:30, got there at 7. They checked me in, my husband left. I changed into these ugly blue surgical panties and tried on the compression garment for my lipo. Next, met with the doctor, he answered any questions I had, took some more pictures, and drew all over me! Next the anesthesiologist came in and asked me about medical history and then he left. They brought me into the operating suite (at his office!) they hooked up an IV,gave me sme "relaxing" drugs, and thats the last I remember! When I woke up, it literally felt like 5 minutes had past. So strange. It was my first time under general anesthesia. No Nausea or anything. They rolled me into the recovery room and I was there for a while. My husband came about 1/2 hour later. Ok, this is a little funny... He doesn't do well with blood or IVs or any of that. The lady opened my surgical bra and was explaining things to him and he said, I don't feel so good. He sat down on the chair behind him and the nurse had to catch him and call someone in! The anesthesiologist and another nurse rushed in and helped him to the groundand put a pillow under his head and knees. (he was out for about 15 seconds!) After I knew he was ok, I was laughing at him a little bit . Don't know if it was the whole surgical thing or my hot new knockers that made him faint LOL. Anyway, stayed in the recovery room for a while longer, his dad had to come to pick us up because they didn't want us to drive (that was a little embarrassing but oh well). My husband wound up driving himself home anyway because he felt fine by then. I was only having a little bit of pain at this point from the lipo. My boobs were still numb. I just felt a little tired and weak. Got home, ate some bread and took my vicoden and valium with a slice of bread. The bread was really hard toget down since my mouth was so dry. Took me about 1/2 hour to eat it! And my voice was so scratchy sounding from the breathing tube. Didn't expect that. But I am almost back to normal now. I have been trying to get up and walk around occationally to get the blood flowing. After laying down for a while, I feel really stiff. If I just had the breast augmentation alone, it would be totally easy! The lipo is harder for me so far. But not unbearable. I'm sure it will all be worth it. I am getting more sore throughout the day. My surgeon and anesthesiologist just called to check on me and suggested that I take half a pain pill every 2 hours insead of 1 every 4 to minimize the pain at the end of the 4 hour mark. I'll try that tomorrow. My parents brought my kids over around 6pm and it was good to see those two . It is going to be hard not to hold them for a while! I keep opening my sports bra to check out my boobs. They look so great for the first day! They are not high and square like I was expecting them to be. I am wearing the strap that is supposed to hold them down. The bruising from the lipo is pretty yucky. I have my post op appointment on Thursday where they will take off my compression garment to check things out. I can feel my pain meds and valium kicking in so I will be off to bed pretty soon. Thanks for all of your advise everyone! This site has been such great support! If I am feeling up to it, I'll post some pics tomorrow. |

Woke up today and feel like I"ve been hit with a train! Trying to walk around to get teh blood flowing and took my pain meds. Still the lipo is more painful than the breast augmentation! I'll make it though! Can't wait for the next week to (hopefully) fly by!

Had my post op yesterday and they said everything looks fantastic! They even brought the other nurse in to show her because they thought I looked so good . Luckily I haven't caught the dreaded boobie blues! I am thrilled so far! |

![]() | Update...
Update on day 5 post op. I still love my new body and boobs. Just getting a little impatient! Wish I could fast forward to next month! I have a lot more energy! I stopped taking my prescription meds day 2 post op, took about a day, then started having more energy and becoming more "regular" if you know what I mean. Just taking tylenol when needed. My bruising is turning a lovely greenish yellow hue still with some dark purple in spots. Day 2 was the most sore for the lipo and it just gets a little better every day. I was home alone with my 1 and 3 year old today. I was going to call my mom over to put my 1 year old down for a nap but I decided to do it myself. Didn't hurt or anything, I just took it really slow and careful and kept him close to my body. my breast augmentation has not been painful at all! They just feel tight every once in a while but I massage them whenever I get a chance. I love them! hehehe And every once in a while, I get a shooting pain across my left breast. Probably nerves regenerating or something? I go back to work on Friday. I think time will go by a little faster once I get back into my normal routine. Just wanted to give you all the update! Thanks for your support! I'll post some new pics in the next few days. |
