Hi Ladies, I'm so disappointed and sad about my consult today. My hope was sils/salines unders w/o lift. He said that won't work. My sister had a reduction and had such bad keloids they injected (over 100 injections) cortisone into the scars just to soften them. Her doc wanted her to let him fix the scarring (for free - he was really disappointed this happened) but she said no, no more surgery/pain/recovery. So I have really, really wanted to avoid a lift due to the risks of scarring involved. I'm 5'3, 125 pounds, over 40, a very full B or small C. Nursed 2 children, lost fullness. Although both nipplies are above crease I measured 22 and 24 cms and was told I have pseudo-ptosis on one side, ptosis on the other. PS also said: 1. For full sil/saline unders I would have to have a full anchor or would end up w/double bubble 2. I could have overs but would need Benelli if I want a more lifted look 3. Could do 1/3 unders or full overs w/no lift. Will look like full, mature breasts but will sag more quickly and likely need an anchor lift later anyway - Overs have a 10% higher risk of CC with salines, 20% higher risk with sils - He prefers saline and replaces all sils he has done within 12-15 years. - Said all his patients will 15 yr+ sils have ruptured which requires complete capsulotomy, better to replace every 12 years than go through that. I really wanted unders only and would like some support right now, especially to hear about other's experiences. I'd be so grateful if others would please share their before/afters (6 months to maybe a full year out?) to see just how noticable scarring is. If it's not that noticable, maybe I should just do it? I've had a hernia repair with no scarring and am trying to be hopeful. I would also like if someone could please tell me how to post my pics privately so that others can see and give me their opinions. Did anyone else measure like that and just go with implants over instead? Did they come out okay? |

Hi sweetie I sent you a F/R so you can see my progression pics. You DO NOT want to get the implants without the lift. You will so regret it! IMO you also don't want overs bc they will sag quickly. I had a lollipop lift and like all of us with a lift I was very afraid of the scars. Like your sister, we aren't always going to heal the way we like, but if her PS offered to correct her scars free of charge then I would guess that she must have had some abnormal scarring. I looked at so many pics before my lift because I was afraid, but honestly my scars look way worse in pictures then they do in person. I was so pleasantly surprised to see how thin the lines were when I first saw them. My PS had lots of pics of ladies with lifts and their scars were barely visible, so I am doing exactly what they are telling me to do to take care of them and keeping my fingers crossed. So far so good. I am so glad that I had the lift. My boobs still look really crazy even in my most recent pics but I still have alot of dropping to do and I will keep updating my pics on here. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions. |

Oh and also when you choose to add an album it asks you if you want that album public or private.

Hi fromB2C. I dont have any pictures I can show you as I had my first consult today in Raleigh NC as well. But I can tell you that Dr Morea also stated that I had stage 3 Ptosis and WOULD not like my implants without a lift. I am getting Sils under with an anchor lift. I too am very nervous about the scars, but hopefully they will heal nicely. Dr Morea stated he didnt prefer Sils or saline one over the other. He thinks they are both good and work well for different people. I am also wanting a Tummy tuck, and Dr Morea stated he will not perform the lift and Tummy in the same surgery. While I know I could find a surgeon who would do this- I respect his reputation and feel he is doing this for my benefit. Good Luck with your decision.... None of this has been easy on me deciding either ( fraid to make a BIg mistake) Just find a surgeon you trust. They do this all the time. EllieD- Congrats on having your hubby home. I am a military wife as well and I know how lonely it can be!
