Day 2 and my boobie story!

As most of you know, I was the biggest wimp prior to my breast augmentation, due to fear over the anesthesia, not once did I think about the pain afterwards, and man, oh, man do I wish I prepped myself for that one. As I tell you my story i'll include in it what i felt post-op day 1 and day 2. So here it goes....

I went to bed at 1 am and woke up at 5 to shower and what not. I was supposed to be at the surgeon's office at 830 so my parents and I left my house at 630. Due to traffic, I got there at 8:15, and the doctor said he decided to go with 325cc on me because he didn't want to be disappointed when they shrank. His wife, the patient coordinator, came in with all the forms I had to sign and explained everythign to me. Shockingly, I was so calm that day until I read some of the complications and I was like ehhhhh. Obviously, I signed them anyways. Now let me take you to the examination room before surgery...

I'm in the exam room, and the PS does the standard, he measures again and makes the track marks showing to me where he will be making the incison to create the new fold. He was singing and having a grand ol time, and I said to him "Well i'm happy you're in high spirits today!" After he walked out the anesthesiologist walked in, the moment i had been waiting for, I look at him and go "Am i going to die? How do I know i'm not allergic to this medication?" He says are you allergic to eggs? I say no, he goes you'll be fine. Then the nurse came in and asked me the regular questions and next thing i know i'm on the operating table. So this is all I remember, I remember the anesthesiologist trying to find a vein and I'm like weird i usually have really good veins, and he explained to me it's harder when to find when you haven't eaten or drank in quite some time. Then i look at my PS and he goes have a nice sleep, see you soon. My response? "YEA ALLRIGHHHHT" (sort of likewho are you kidding) then i was OUT.COLD. Now the waking up part

From what i've been told they tried waking me up twice and I told them i was in severe pain so they gave me two IV bags with painkillers. The third time I woke up i was hysterically crying from the pain. I did however, look down and saw the hills on my chest but was too out of it to appreciate them. My mom did see them and said they looked great, vert natural! Now comes the fun part of things i don't remember but my mom says i did. When i saw my PS he came in with funky looking surgeons glasses and I was like "that is NOT a sexy look on you." I have no recollection of this. 2nd thing I said. "NO wonder why michael jackson like propofol so much." Again, no recollection of this. The doctor comes to put some crazyyy contraption on me and as he's bandaging me he's pressing down on my incisions and my boobs and I was wincing in pain. He says to me, "I know you hate me right now" so i respond with "I don't hate you but if there was EVER a time I wanted to punch you in the face then this would be it!" I tried standing up but felt very light-headed (no nausea however) so i sat back down for anther 10 minutes then shuffled my way back to my parents. I could barely move. Let me tell you the ride home from the city back to long island was the WORST experience of my life! I couldn't take my pain meds till i got home and there was so much traffic that it took FOREVER.

Day 1-got home, slowly sat in my recliner and was in a valium and percocet high. Pain was intense, esp. when the local anesthetic wore off i started feeling the shooting, stabbing and burning pains in and around that area. Oh and I think I tinkled like 30393493 times!

Day 2-alot of tightness and soreness. Same pain around the incision but feeling a bit better

To the girls that haven't gone yet PLEASE follow your pain meds as so many girls have said in the past...it's so so SO important!

You're story is cute, I love that you told your ps it wasn't a sexy look for him! lol. I'm so nervous about the pain afterward....but it's good to hear the meds help you handle it. I'm glad it went well for you. Congrats on the new boobies

Oh my, I am seriously laughing out loud at this one! What a hilarious story!!! I am so nervous about the stupid stuff I'm gonna say right before I go under/when I wake up! When I was 25 I had my tonsils out and my nurse told me I told the anesthesiologist he was so hot and asked if he was single, lol! Happy recovery!!!

HAHA he just called meeee to check up on me and I apologized profusely for telling him he didn't look sexy in his glasses and he cracked up! I feel better have apologized though!

Thanks! Pain was rough from fri-monday. I think becuase of all the bandages it was hard for me to walk straight (which took a toll on my back) and it was constricting me so it was hard to talk and breathe. Today I feel much better only the incisions have started to itch. Other than that it gets better every day!

OK. Let me be the first one to not be laughing after reading your story. not that it wasnt funny- but all I could think the whole time was " OHHH CRAP! Am I gonna be able to handle the pain! Is it worth that much to me.... ( big chicken over here typing)
