NO SHOW DRIVER!!!!! My breast augmentation story

My breast augmentation was on Friday. I was super-duper excited and got very little sleep. My mom and step dad were to pick me up at 6:45am. My mom is always running late. I knew that this was a gamble, but since she arrived at my house at 5:30am for my liver biopsy in January, I figured I would give her a chance.

So I wake up at 5:30, or should I say more like 5, but rolled outta bed at 5:30.

6:45 rolls around and no Mom. So I call her. Wait 2 minutes, then call again. Wait another minute and call my step dad. Now the tears start.

My mom only lives a few blocks from me. But if I go to her house and she is not ready, I will be extremely late.

I get in the car and start heading to the surgery center. I call my dad. He so mad that my mom did this to me. He has a meeting and therefore cannot pick me up. I call my best friend (whom I call my gay husband). He tells me he's going to the surgery center and will be there as soon as he can. I get to the surgery center, check in and then go to the pre-op room. My nurse asks me if I'm nervous. I tell him "no." He tells me that my heart rate is sooooo high, he wants to take it again. He tells me to think of the beach. This still did not change my heart rate. I tell him it must be because I am so mad at my mom.

My gay husband walks in. I'm soooooo happy now. He sits with me for about half an hour. Then I get markered up and wheeled away.

I wake up I see a new nurse. My anesthesiologist walks by and tells me I asked him to "do me?" He was like 50 years old and chuncky. Not to mention, I am the biggest prude, so I cannot believe that I even said this! This is soooo out of character, I'm only telling my JBI girls! The nurse told me that it's like you're drunk, but I told her that I never say or do anything wrong when i'm drunk.

He walks by again and I tell him that I am sorry for what I said. He tells me that I made his day.

My mom and step dad walk in. She tells me her alarm did not go off. I tell her that its not a problem and where is my BFF? He had to leave to go to work.

Today is Sunday, and I have not had really any pain!!!! I take my pain meds every 4 hours and my antibiotic every 6. The pain meds make me extremely itchy and tired.

My friend is taking care of me. She's a nurse and we have been friends for 16 years. She has been my lifesaver. She drove me to get my fav pizza yesterday and made me pancakes in the morning. I told her that she is amazing and I cannot wait for her to become preggers so that I can repay her.

These things feel so small! I cannot wait for the D&F now!

sorry bout ur mum not picking u up either. i would have been furious too. but it all worked out in the end.

Congrats on the new girls! It's too bad your mom didn't show up when she was supposed to, but at least you know that you have an awesome gay husband that will step up to the task when others fail you.

Thanks girls! I figured it would be a funny story to read. I cannot believe that I have had NO PAIN! My nurse friend just left. She was a lifesaver. I guess the moral of my story is that friends will always come through for you.

I can laugh at your story, but I am terrified of what may have come out of my mouth. Don't even wanna know.

Do you think you would've let your Mom off the hook that easily if you hadn't been drugged up?

Good question!!! She is going through a lot right now. She also has sleep apneia, and I know that her machine is broken. I really didn't want to upset her, so I did let her off the hook. I'm sure that part of it was the drugs, though!
