My detailed boobie story…and you will never believe the first words out of my mouth!

First off, I just want to tell everyone I have wanted boobs for the longest time. I was always envious of the women with boobs and yes even the teenagers and pre-teens with boobs! LOL. I decided this summer that enough was enough and went on my search for boobies.

Fast forward…I found a great surgeon and booked for September 17, 2009. I decided on 400cc on the left and 425cc on the right. The morning of the surgery I was very anxious and not feeling too freaked out. I made sure everything was ready at my house and took one last picture of the old boobies. I arrived at the Surgery Center at 7:00 am and had to take my valium at 6:30. I was feeling even more calm when I got there. LOL. I took my pee test…one last thing to get in the way of the boobs and NEGATIVE. Hey got to be excited about that. I got changed in my blue footies, odd surgery panties, gown and hair cap. My nurse and anesthesiologist were prepping me for surgery. Word to the wise…if your anesthesiologist asks if you get nauseated easily say YES because he gave me a nausea patch which stayed on for 2 days and was a life saver for those days. Anyways, back to it. My anesthesiologist said he was a Christian and that he prayed for me and hoped I did not mind. I loved that! I thought that was so awesome. The IV was easy as pie. Although I will tell everyone now that I am very easy to give shots to…I grew up with severe asthma and had to take shots every Tuesday. My PS came in and he looked at my chart and said, “Oh I don’t know about this size...I am going to fit as big as I can but I am not going too complicate you by going too big.” I told him I trusted his judgment. I said goodbye to my husband and family and I walked back to the operating room. I thought I would be on this metal table and instead it was a comfy, heated operating table. I was telling everyone in the room how bad it sucked for my family to have to wait an hour to see the results and how cool it was that I was going to be up in like 5 seconds with boobs. My anesthesiologist said to raise my right arm and that is the last thing I remember.

I woke up in the recovery room with a dry mouth and in a super good mood. I asked the anesthesiologist, “When can we have sex?” ROFL!!!!! He was like um I am married but he knew I was talking about me and my husband. I have to back up here. My husband kept asking me if I had asked my PS when we could resume sexual activity. I was like I don’t know I will ask the day of the surgery. My DH was like no, no call them and ask. I told him to be patient and that I would ask before I went in to surgery. Well I had forgotten but it must have been on my mind when I woke up because I kept asking everyone that question! They were probably like wow this chick is nuts! Hehe. My dad was like yeah I was in there when you asked your PS that. Oops! My mother and dad told me the next words were, “I have boobies!!!” My mother told me I ended up with 375cc on the left and 400cc on the right and she said I could care less. I was just happy to have boobs! I really wasn’t in any pain the day of surgery and the car ride home was nothing. I remember going in and out of sleep.

The rest of the day I slept, walked around and thought it was the easiest thing I have ever done. I highly recommend NOT walking around as much as I did the first day. I paid for that the next few days after the surgery. Day 2 – 4 were the worst days. I took off my nausua patch (wrong decision) and couldn’t keep my pain meds down. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort.

Yesterday and today have been tremendously better. I was able to shower myself (my hubby had been doing the honors) and wash my hair today!! I also finally felt good enough to try on a bathing suit of mine. All in all I wouldn’t change a thing. I would do it all over again. I am excited to see my upcoming changes and see the final results. To all you ladies out there that are about to have your breast augmentation, there really is nothing to it. I think most people heal quicker than me so don’t be scared by my days 2-4 being bad.

Thanks to everyone on JBI! My family and friends have been a great support system but there is nothing like having people support you that are going thru the exact same thing as you. Love all you ladies!!

He said I could whenever I felt comfortable. I thought shoot that will be forever! I am just starting to feel like they are mine and I just let my hubby barely touch them the other night. It will probably be another 1-2 weeks at least. My poor hubby! LOL

That is too funny, I imagine they've heard it all and could write a book! My first words after my 1st breast augmentation-- I looked down at my chest and YELLED
"WHO put these mountains here??!"

Congrats! Hope your healing goes well. And when you do have sex you'll probably feel much more comfortable wearing your sport bra as all that jiggling won't feel god for some time yet. I kept them strapped in for the 1st month until I could let them hang 'free' comfortably. Take care and post pics when you can!

I really enjoyed reading your story!! I'm a little less nervous now. I'm getting my breast augmentation Oct 6th and am soo excited. I saw that you have HP. I'm still debating on HP or Mod+ and was wondering if you could give me your opinion!!
