![]() | Pre breast augmentation I think I've always had a little infatuation with breasts. Loved em. I'd catch myself looking at other girls breasts and compared them to mine. But being half Asiain, I think I got the small boobs gene from my mom. Pretty sure this infatuation started at around age 12, haha. I've always imagined and dreamed about having larger breasts, but until I came to this webpage I never thought I could really do it. It was just a dream-- the only people who really did it were celebreties and Hollywood socialites, right??? And then I met you guys and realized that normal people do it, it's not superficial, and it doesn't have to look fake (unless that's what you want!). I love you guys and wanted to share my story. Consultations I had my first one in June 2009. Immediately afterwards I was ready to sign up for the first available date, I WAS READY FOR BOOBS!! But I made myself wait and scheduled more consults with other PS to make sure I was making the best decision. And I'm so glad I did! I'm 5'8" 145 lbs. I told the first PS I wanted a full C. He recommended 350cc High Profile overs. He told me about the recovery process, which included 2 weeks of pain, pain pumps, drains-- everything that made me weary, but not enough to make me change my mind. I had my second consult August 10, 2009. This PS was supposed to be the best in the state, specialized in breasts, and did the new "Rapid Recovery" method. I assumed he would be ridiculuously expensive but went to the consult anyways. After talking to him I KNEW he was the right surgeon for me. He recommeded 375 Moderate profile Unders. I felt comfortable talking to him and felt like he listened to me and really had an eye for what he did. He told me about the rapid recovery system, which supposedly is so effective I could have my surgery Friday and be back to work Monday. (I was skeptical but went along with it). The rapid recovery is basically a new way of performing breast augmentations-- it's a gentler technique so there is less pain and a much quicker healing process. I tried on the sizers and thought they looked ridiculously big! WAY too big for me! But I took pictures with my camera phone so I could look at them later. BEST ADVICE: do not be afraid of the sizers at consults! They look big because I'm used to having nothing! haha. He quoted $5,800... which was only $400 more than the other guy.... score! Pre-op appointment I was so happy with the PS I picked that I scheduled my Pre-op for 2 days after the consult and my surgery for 2 weeks later. Haha, I was ready to go! At the pre-op I got to try on the sizers again, picked up my prescriptions, took before pictures, and had all my last minute questions answered. I put the sizers on and again thought they looked too big but went along with what my PS recommended because he knew best. I want it to be right the first time, and wouldn't want to have to go back in to make them bigger. After frequenting this site, I didn't have too many questions at the pre-op, I felt prepared! Before the surgery 2 weeks of waiting. I kept getting nervous and doubting myself, "Am I doing the right thing? Am I superficial for doing this? WHAT IF THEY'RE TOO BIG???" I was a wreck and kept worrying that I was making the wrong decision. But then I would come to this webpage and look at pictures and stories for hours and hours and KNEW it was what I wanted. I was sick of having small breasts, sick of not wanting to take my shirt off when I was intimate with my boyfriend, sick of pretending that I had "cute little boobs," when all I wanted was NORMAL breasts and to feel like a WOMAN. So 2 months before my surgery I started stuffing my bra starting with the little silicone inserts you can buy at Aerie, and "grew" using double inserts with 2 padded bras. I wanted it to feel like a seamless transition so I wouldn't get questions from people at work. By the time surgery day came I already looked like a full C with all the stuffing I was toting around. Day of Surgery I woke up and took a long shower, washed with Hibiclense, put the Bactroban ointment in my nose... (all things healthcare workers have to do before surgery.. I'm a nurse). After my shower I realized that I hadn't really taken ANY before pictures so I stood in front of the mirror and grabbed all of my bras, sports bras, bikinis and started taking pictures of myself. I didn't want to forget how I looked before. Got to the surgery center at 11am and immediately they were ready for me to go to the pre-op area. They did a pregancy test on me, had me change into a gown, put on a hair net and socks, and they started an IV on me. The nurses were really sweet and the anesthesiologist was great. They even numbed the IV site before they stuck me with lidocaine. Incredibly I wasn't nervous at all. I was very calm and serene and ready to get it done! They rolled me into the surgery suite, I moved to the bed and watched them push the IV meds to put me to sleep. "Lady Marmalade" was playing on the radio as I fell asleep, haha! So I closed my eyes and opened them again after what felt like maybe 15 seconds and were were finished!! Really I was out for 30-45 minutes, but it felt like I had just fallen asleep! I sat up, was a little nauseated so they gave me phenergan through the IV. We did arm exercises and I drank some sprite til I felt better and then they had me change clothes and go home! Amazingly I didn't have trouble standing and walked to the bathroom and changed. My boyfriend met me out back and I slept all the way home. I got home and took a 2 hour nap. Man was I sore when I woke up! I was so stiff and tight feeling. No sharp pain though. I sat up and did more arm exercises and then took a hot shower. The water felt soooooo good and helped me loosen up. We went out to dinner that night. I got we had Mexican food and margaritas to celebrate. Went to bed early that nightDay 2 I woke up so sore!!! I slept on my back all night. Got up, took my celebrex, antibiotics, and valium and did my arm exercises. By the time I finished taking a hot shower I felt great! Every 2 hours I did my arm exercises and I took several short walks around the neighborhood. No terrible pain, just extreme tightness in my chest and a little sore. My boyfriend and I went to Target to pick up a few things and then went out for dinner again that night. I found that the more I moved the better I felt. Walking helped and arm exercises really loosened me up. Looking in the mirror, I was very torpedo-shaped (or at least i was in my mind). Very high up, very tight. I have pictures posted in my album of day 1. However there was NO BRUISING and I felt so glad for that! The incision was small, approx 1.5 inch and didn't look bad at all! Day 3 Day 3 was a breeze! I woke up sore and tight but again, after taking a walk and doing my arm exercises, I felt great! I really think I could have gone back to work on Day 3 if I wanted, and that's saying a lot because I'm an ER nurse! But I enjoyed my days off, I ended up taking 12 off total. My PS removed my steri-strips today and said everything looked great! Day 5 I felt completely normal on Day 5, I really think I could have gone jogging if I wanted to, with a good sports bra. My PS said resume activities as I am able to tolerate them. At this point my breasts are still super hard, I feel like I could bounce quarters off of them. They are really high looking too. No pain, just waiting for the drop and fluff! Enjoying my mini-vacation. ![]() Week 4 That's today! I have not felt any pain in weeks it seems. My breasts have softened some, will bounce a little. Still waiting for them to really soften up though. I still have some upper-pole fullness and that "hump" on the upper part of my chest. That will come down with time. I told myself I wouldn't buy any new bras until I hit the one month mark. Meanwhile I've been wearing sports bras. I stilll go to the mall though and try on bras for fun. I tried on a 34C the other day and it almost felt like it was too small. I uploaded pictures of it, it's the black bra. I think I'll end up with a full C/ baby D in the end. I'm so glad I didn't chicken out at the last minute and get a smaller size, the 375s ended up being perfect for me. I'm so happy that I went though with it. It's the best thing I've ever done, no regrets, no way! I still can't believe how nervous I was before! I looked at pictures a few mintues ago of my befores, the ones without the bra and was shocked. My chin dropped. I can't believe I went so long without breasts, I was so flat before. Now I can't stop looking in the mirror! My boyfriend teases me, but I'm alright with that. ![]() I'm so glad I can share my story with you guys! I'll keep posting pictures as I progress, I can't wait to see where I end up.
