My boobie story... and I feal fantastic..

Hi everyone..

I will try and keep this simple and to the point..last night I got my new boobies..but story is as follows...

Arrive 4.30pm fill in paperwork, then while waiting for them to do my bill..(had to pay hospital prior to surgery) I saw 2 five dollar notes on the floor next the main entrance..I picked them up and hand them to the nurse behind the desk who said keep it we cant take it because of such and such a reason..o.k..so I do..reminds me of that saying "see a penny pick it up and all the day you have goodluck" hehe
I go over to my hubby give him a fiver and said I'll shout you a coffee which he desperately needed..the other five I bought a balloon from the gift shop for my almost two year old..

Anyway hubby and DS go home, and I go up to pre-op to have my BP weight height etc...done.. My blood pressure was.. 142/93 I thought OMG I'm bodering if not have hypertension looks like I wont be getting done..but nurse said its normal in times like this my BP is usually very low.. anxiety she called it..

I go to the ward and dress in the usual with a nice warm blanket and there are 3other women in the ward and we all get to talking..they were there having a sling attatched to their bladders as they had prolapse and I dont mean older women they were only 40's50's anyway they were talking about thier incontinence (it was hilarious) I ended up having to pee twice myself before going to theatre..mind you I hadnt eaten or drunk anything since 10.00am

Anyway my turn for theatre 6.30pm
I get taken to a room just outside and my PS draws on me then the anesthetic guy injects me , I get taken in the theatre and ask if I can pop on the other table..which I start to do and the sleep doctor says "Gee she's asleep aleady" thats all I remember..until I woke up feeling like I'd had a long great sleep..and that was about 9.30-10.00pm maybe..I was a bit drowsy and asked the nurse 3 times if I could text my hubby..lol..she was lovely about it.. I text my DH and sister who know..

I remember poking my nipples to see if they were sore as that meant I didnt need a nipple lift I was kinda excited no to feel anything...until the pain killers wore off then they went tingly and I knew they were lifted..lol
When I was fully awake I felt
great no nausea no pain no nothing, just a bit uncomfortable when I move oh but I couldnt breath very well I had the bandages on all night needles to say I never slept much at all, but when I did dose
I dreamt I was holding DH's hand I woke up rubbing the thumb on my other hand..went back to sleep and dreamt again I was holding his hand, woke up stroking the warm blanket..lol
When I woke up I had drips, oxygen and these booties that go over the bottom parts of your legs..and they blow up and down reminded me of the thing they wrap around your arm when doing BP.. it was like getting a massage all night..

Anyway around 5.00am the nurse takes everything off so I'm free to pee again..
Oh and through the night she was taking my BP it went down to 90/70 thank goodness.. Doctor came at 8.00am to take of bandages still couldnt breath that well but a lot better, he seemed pleased..and said yes nipples got lifted they needed it..lol

Then I was free to go home which was 9.30am got home looked properly in the mirror and I have frankenboob...hahaha but I dont care, I've been reading threads on this forum for 3 months and know it gets better..I knew they would be frankenboobs or torpedos....

Anyway its almost 1.00pm now and I feel great I feel better if I move around though..otherwise I stiffen up..whew what a great experiance.. thanks for reading...have to go DH has made me a bacon and egg roll..yummy

Oh hun, that's written so lovely -- it reminds me EXACTLY how I was feeling when I'd just had it done. I was all chatty but kept repeating myself and ging rounds in happy circles. But it felt great being loopy *LOL*.

Just make sure you keep your meds up and on time as I was like you but got a bit slack on timing of meds - naievly thinking I wasn't that bad, but of course that was the drugs doing their job - and then.... OWWWW!

As long as you keep up those meds, you'll ride it through quite easily til Day 3 when - for me - it's gotten a whole lot better *without* the drugs

PS: your procedure was a little different to mine - I was in on surgery table before given the anaesthetic and only given that foot massage boot thing at the beginning. After surgery it was just a blanket, a drip and a Lazy-Boy chair to recover for an hour before going home.
