hi all! had my first breast augmentation last week...

hey, first of all, this website is awesome.

ever since i was young i just KNEW my breasts were never going to grow. the females in my family (both on my dad and mom's side) are on the petite side, full breasts are just not in our genes :P i wasnt thrilled about being flat-chested, padded bras and chicken cutlets galore.

okay fast foward...so a few months ago i began researching religiously, every night, without fail. i went to three different plastic surgeons and finally decided on the third, Dr. Vishal Kapoor in beverly hills, California.

the consult went very smoothly. he was very informative and attentive. he didnt feel like some pushy car dealer or salesmen. i absolutely adored his work.

a week later, i had my pre-op visit. and on october 8th thursday i had my breast augmentation with liposuction around the armpit area.

the night before my surgery i took a tylenol PM to knock me out. i got a good 9 hours of undisturbed sleep.

i woke up, and thought to myself.."today is the day...." i showered and was on my way.

honestly, from the consultation to the morning of the operation, i was excited..but it also felt very surreal, like none of it was actually really happening (BUT IT REALLY WAS HAHAH)

after the surgery, i have no idea how my clothes got back on and how i ended up in my dad's truck. it was an about an hour drive home, and about halfway i was coherent, holding a conversation with my dad and even called my friend when my dad parked the car to run into the grocery store real quick.

got home, ate some soup, and knocked out effortlessly. woke up later that evening to ear more soup, take meds, and knocked out. woke up again later 'cuz some of my girlfriends came to visit, & chit chatted with them for a lil bit.

friday, the pain was pretty intense, worse than the day before. it was such a discomforting sensation i felt in my breasts. i spent the entire day sleeping and only waking up to eat some food and take my medicine.

saturday, the pain was subiding at an exponential rate. i stayed in bed all day, in and out of sleep, only waking to eat and take medicine. i was able to shower today and got to see my breasts un-gauzed. they looked reminiscent of rotting bananas, bruised to the max. i didnt take any vicodin that day, but had tylenol extra strength instead.

sunday, their wasnt much pain. just a lot of pressure on my chest, kinda like a ton of bricks sittin on my chest. i woke up early, got ready, and went to sunday mass with my parents. after mass, i lounged in bed all day and once again in and out of sleep. once again, no vic and tylenol instead.

monday, woke up early, got ready and did the commute to work, which is about 20 miles away. work is pretty sedentary, so it was completely fine. the drive home was fine, and grabbed some coffee with some friends. my mom dyed my hair, and i was able to lift my arms and wash my hair

and today, it feels like theres a little less pressure on my chest. i can raise my arms above my head now, SLOWLY and carefully. it's no prob putting on a regular shirt now when i take my time.

my parents and i are thrilled that my recovery has been going so well! my parents also commented that i have an unusually higher threshold for pain, which why it seems like it's tolerable? but i have to give that credit to my surgeon, because he seriously did an amazing job!!

i work 50 hours a week..part time interning as an ultrasound tech and part time as a barista. i didnt miss any days from my intern. i'm back to work at the coffee place on thursday. so recovery was a nice way of catching up on some z's

my post-op meeting is this thursday

Hi there! in my family all the women are DD or bigger my sister was a H or something like that but had a reduction..... i was not given much....maybe since i am the youngest?? Good luck!

Glad your surgery and recovery went so well. I got for my first breast augmentation next Friday and can't wait! I hope I recover just as fast as you

Oh and my family is the opposite. I'm the only SMALL breasted person in my immediate family. I have a twin sister and an older sister. My twin is considering a reduction she's so big...don't know what happened to me!

Welcome allweneedislove. Was the armpit lipo painful? Were you completely knocked out for the procedure? How much extra to the cost was the lipo? I am glad you found JBI. Thanks for sharing your story.

the lipo was an additional $250, i figured it was a great deal, why not!
