My recovery, lol, love my family!

Surgery was on Monday, my 14 year old son told me that I was "milking" my recovery and my DH told me that I was "utterly" ridiculous, this all happened in the same conversation. In reality, they are taking such good care of me. Who'd a thought a couple of men could pull it together!

By the way does DH mean "Dear Husband" or "Dumb Husband", I only started using it because everyone else did?

Your post made me laugh - good to have men around with a sense of humor! Yes, DH usually means Dear Husband - but you can change the "D" around to suit your purposes -Darling Husband
Dweebie Husband (my favorite! he is such a loveable geek)
Dopey Husband (as in Snow white - not as in Illegal User)
And well, when he's in the mood he changes it to ..... well, yeah.

Have fun with your recovery!!

Iris will become famous soon enough
Congratulations on your new additions!!! Must be interesting sharing the experience with a 14 year old son!! I have 3 grown daughters. Only the oldest who is married actually knew I was having the surgery. I didn't even tell the other two until they came home from college about a month later!
Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Yes, a couple of friends suggested that, due to his age, and our constantly encouraging open lines of communication with him it should go both ways and I should share with him what I planned on doing. Teenagers are always looking to make their parents out to be hypocrites I've found. My auto response was to keep it from him and just tell him I wasn't feeling well. His knee jerk response when I told him last week and and let him know my surgery was on Monday was "Well, I guess we know who won't be diving off the high diving board!" I laughed so hard!

Smile Too Funny!!!

This post made me lol. My surgery is on Monday and I also have a 14 year old son. We also encourage open communication so we have told him what I am doing. He really didn't say much yet....but who knows what will come out his mouth next week. He is quite a little character at 14 already!!! My two teenage daughters think it's great and they are jealous. They were built like me, poor girls. Thanks for sharing!
