How Long Will They Stay Hard and Tight??

Man, I tell you...these things are VERY hard and tight. My surgery was Thursday and I know it is only Sunday but I can't wait for this part to be over. They also look square on top and pretty funny shaped right now. I am guessing this will change when they drop? I am still in a substantial amount of pain too and am supposed to be going back to work tomorrow. That seems impossible right this minute but I think I am going to try. Many of the posts I have read from others here didn't seem to be in that much pain. How long did it take you guys to feel back to normal?

Normal is a relative term. I had my surgery on a Thursday and by Tuesday i felt pretty good. I went to the mall for a bit after my post op. Each day gets better. Try not to get too caught up on how they look, because they will change a lot over the next few days/weeks.

Good luck and happy healing!

I was feeling back to normal buy day 4-5. It really depends on you and how your body is though.. As far as the hard and tight and high up.. My swelling was gone by 2 weeks.. They started to drop some by 3 weeks. So you still have some time to go but it will get better.

I am 10 days post op and mine are not AS tight. They are still very high. I was able to start massaging 4 days post op and that has helped them loosen up some. I hope you find relief soon!!

My surgery was also on the 17th and I still feel very swollen and tight. It's not that I expect to D&F so soon, but I'd really like to stop feeling like I'm going to explode.

My surgery was also on Thursday. I am feeling very tight still. I am finally off of the pain medications and just taking regular strength Tylenol. I finally slept good for the first time today. I am still dealing with a tremendous headache and LOTS of bloating. The bloating part is the most painful at the moment.

I had my surgery on the 16th. My boobs still look like rectangular bricks and are super tight. I am slowly getting off the pain killers. Its 3:15pm now and I have taken one vallium and 1 hydrocodon so thats doing pretty good. I was up and around more today, my back also hurts from sleeping in the reclined position and its hard to move my arms around. I too have to go back to work tomorrow so hopefully that will workout. Ii have an hour drive to Costa Mesa though so t should be interesting. All in all it seems like its getting better. I will keep you updated

I had my surgery on the 16th and today (day4) was the first day that I felt a significant improvement. I by no means feel normal though. Give yourself some time. Not everyone heals at the same rate and even the same person doesn't heal at the same rate (my left breast is significantly more swollen and painful than my right). Sending healing thoughts your way.

Hey girl. I had my surgery on the 8th and I am now starting to feel normal again. By normal I mean, I can reach for things and pick things up without feeling a strain in the arm muscles, bloating is down (but I am still about 4lbs bloated. My boobs dropped in the first 4 days and since I started massaging after day 7, they have gotten really soft!! My DH has also been helping massage them and soften them

Hope you get to feeling better soon.

My surgery was also on Thursday! I am still feeling very swollen and tight. I was able to stop the heavy pain meds just one day after and have just been on XS Tylenol since. My back is also killing me though and I'm soooooo bloated! Yuck!

I'm three weeks post and still a bit hard and a little square. I've started massaging but they don't move much! I felt pretty good after two weeks or so, but still not back to my usual energy level. Congrats!

I was feeling better on day 5, but still pretty tight and hard. Now I am on day 9 and the tightness is sooo much better. Per my PS, I've been gently stretching and that seems to be helping. My back is also feeling a bit better.

oh tell me about it! I took a shower today and washing my armpits was hilarious. I'm like... this is all boob... they are high, hard, shaped weird and the right one feels like theres a knife stabbing it. Right now I couldn't imagine going back to work in one day. do you have to do any lifting or reaching? I'm still taking the percocet, but only 1/2 a pill each time.

Hey! I had my surgery on the 11th, and my side ribs are still very sore, but not bruised (at least not purple that I can see) except for a little spot on the left side rib. Also, my boobs are starting to round out (no more squareboob), but they are still very high. If I had a (desk) job, I could have probably went back on day 5, but I still tire pretty easily. Hth!

They also look square on top and pretty funny shaped right now. I am guessing this will change when they drop?
- Yes this will change as teh muscle stretches and relaxes. I dropped alot in the 1st month and then more slowly after that. i got 500s and my PS said it would take me 4 months to drop fully

How long did it take you guys to feel back to normal?
- I felt back to normal at 2 weeks post op. i felt like i could go back to work at 10 days post op without getting tired or anything

and dont worry about them being hard right now, that's normal. mine started softenign at 3-4 weeks post op. good luck to you!

Mine were really really firm and tight for at least 6 weeks. Then they s-l-o-w-l-y began to soften at 7 to 8 weeks. I'm 3 months and they are pretty soft.....but they continue to soften and have a ways to go. It does take time. I know its hard. I know! I'm loving them and can't wait for the final result!
