Question All Over Body Itch?

I just got done with my BA yesterday, and I'm extremely itchy, not on my breasts, but all over my body, especially my arms and legs. It seems like a lot of women have itchy breasts, but not an all-over itch. It's really severe, and while I know pain meds can cause this, I've had them before without itching this much. Any suggestions on getting rid of the itch? Thank you!

Post-BA: FINALLY went through D&F, and now I'm a large, albeit natural-looking, 30E/30DDD. However, many stores don't stock my size, so I often wear a 32DD.

EDIT: As of 10/13, I'm now a 32DDD in VS bras, and a 32DDDD/30DDDDD in bras from more "upscale" kingerie brands.

I found myself itching all over too. I think mine was from anesthesia since i did the same thing on all my other surgeries. I had my surgery on may 3,2011 and got mentor high profile 660 under muscle. My PS told my fiancé I didn't have to wear a bra but we decided we felt more comfortable with wearing the bra. Oh I took benadryl for the itching.

I had the same thing all over too. On my post op instructions it said the anesthesia can cause this and to take Benadryl if it was unbearable. I just kept applying lotion to the soothe the skin.

I had the exact same thing after my surgery while taking the oxycodone! I thought maybe it was from the surgery as well until the night after I stopped taking the oxy no more itching. Ive taken it before without that side effect so maybe its just in combo with the surgery...but no worries either way it will go away!! HTH! Happy healing!

Omg me too...my whole body itches and it drives me crazy. I have started to use some bio oil for boobs and that has helped...applying some moisturiser helps to cause itchiness is normally from dry skin.

I had horrible itch while on Percocet, but not so much while taking Vicodin. I mean, I would literally scratch parts of my leg, like the shin area, til it was raw. Take some Benadryl that seemed to help me, especially at night when it was the worst!

You can take Benadryl to get rid of the itch and it is completely safe. I had a reaction to my anesthesia and benadryl totally helped!

Exact same thing happened to me. It was a combination of the anesthesia and the codeine. My PS switched me from the hydrocodone to Tylenol 3 on day 2 and it did the trick.

Good luck!

I had this for the first few days too. My ps said it was a reaction the pain meds and wrote me a rx for something different to try and suggested benadryl. Neither really helped so I just used a lot of lotion and kept a long handled wooden spoon in bed with me in case I woke up and couldn't reach a itch on my back lol.

ME! Postop day 2...in the evening, I broke out in a rash on my thighs, then my belly, then my back, arms, neck, etc...everywhere but my boobs. I was on Norco & Celebrex. They had me stop taking both & start taking Benadryl & using Benadryl cream on the itchiest parts.
