Passion will become famous soon enough
Before my BA I had never had any type of surgery except for getting my wisdom teeth taken out and I was terrified of the pain. I was wondering if I was going to regret it or if I would be able to handle it but to be completely honest it wasn't bad at all. I was sore and stiff but the pain was completely bearable. I would just recommend that you stay on top of your meds for the first few days so your pain doesn't get out of control. It's easier to keep the pain under control than to let it get too crazy and try to get it back down. I'm sure you'll do great!

Don't worry! A momentary nerve attack is completely normal. The day before my surgery I thought I was a total lunatic. The morning of, I was kind of out of my head and just went through everything very calmly.

We all say it, and you can't know until you do it yourself, but once they get the drugs going for you, everything will be over seemingly instantaneously. Good luck- everything will be great!

I was freaking out like crazy the day before and the day of surgery the anesthesia is the part I was most scared of and it wasn't bad at all. I just remember laying down on the table them covering me up with a blanket and talking about where I was from then I woke up in recovery and just felt pressure from the bandage. At first my pain got bad because I had to wait on my best friend to get done before we could leave so I think I didn't get my medicine when I should have but now that I am on them like I should be the pain is completely bearable! As long as you take your pills like you need to and do what your ps says you will do great! Goodluck to you girl, wishing you a smooth recovery

I was a total freak leading up to my surgery, even made myself sick. The day before really was the worst for my nerves and afterward you realize all that worry was for nothing. It was not at all as bad as I thought it would be. I know there is nothing any of us can say to stop you from being nervous so just keep your eye on the prize, soon you will have your new girls and it will all be worth it and much easier than you thought.

Well, I had my surgery yesterday. And I do not do well with pain. I am probably the biggest baby ever and just really sensitive to any pain. I wasn't worried about it though, because when I had my wisdom teeth removed, the meds worked great, and I seriously didn't have much pain at all. This has been pretty painful though; at least more so than I had planned on. I would just say, keep up on your pain meds; set alarms so that you can't miss a dose. Even sleeping for a long amount of time and then waking up after skipping a dose could be really painful. With pain, the main thing is not to let it get out of control in the first place, because that is when it is hard to catch up with later. I always tell my patients this at work, ( I am a nurse in a cardiac surgical unit). Anyway, after all that being said, I am so happy about my breasts! I am soooo happy I did this, and any second thoughts I ever had were a waste of my time. I LOVE the boobs, and although I am a little more uncomfortable than I planned on, it is bearable, and it is totally worth it! Don't think about the pain, just plan the best you can for it, and think of the wonderful end result: A new beautiful, more confident you!

I will jump on the bandwagon and also say that I was soooo nervous and most scared about the pain when I woke up! I had never had anything done, not at the dentist or even 1 stich so I had no idea how I would be. I woke up and it was no where near as painful as I thought. I still had the anesthetic in my system so I was pretty numb. I had some painkillers after just incase and I was fine. I only ended up having half of what I was prescribed ( I was meant to have 2 panadene forte every 4hrs, but had 1 every 6 plus a normal panadol). So I was worried about nothing really! The worst part for me is how uncomfortable I am not being able to lay down when I sleep etc. You will be fine, I know it is easy for me to say now, I put myself through hell freaing out before even when people said this to me. Let me just say childbirth was at least 20 times worse for me than this was. Whatever does happen to you you are asleep so don't know anyway. Good luck. xx

I was so scared to be put under.. But when I went into the surgery suite and was on the table they hooked me up to the monitors and started a iv. The dr said he was going to give me something to relax the next think I know I was in recovery. I took a valium for the ride home and started pain pill when I got home. Every 3 hours rotating 1 pain pill then 3 hours later 1 valium.. Lots of water and my hubbys help it really was more of a uncomfortable feeling not really pain pain. Good luck don't stress it all going to be good......

My surgery is in about 6 hours (CANT SLEEP!) annnnnd I'm not really nervous about going under or the pain but that's most likely because I've had major knee surgery before. All I can say is, the pain does get better, and take your pain meds!! And if it does not work, call you doc and tell him you need something else b/c its NOT WORKING (that's what I had to do for my knee, and then they gave me something that REALLY worked to use along with what I had already been prescribed). HTH and good luck with your BA!

Hey Hun I just had my surgery on the 18th and let me tell you my experience lol

When I got wheeled back to OR it was 1205 when I woke up from surgery it was only 104 so surgery was 59 minutes! Lol they told me that after surgery I kept trying to get up and walk out and that I did that 5 times and that I was already showing them off in the recovery room lmao when they told me that I was laughing! As for pain, I woke up feeling super sore but bearable moderate to no pain at all! After surgery when I got home ad anesthesia was starting to wear off I had bearable pain, it was still very sore but I had a vicodin in recovery room before I left and took a percocet a couple hours after I got home! I've been keeping up with my pain meds in fear that if I wait till I'm in a lot of pain to take it then it would take too long to kick in!

If you just stay on top of your pain meds every 4-6 hours, you should be completely fine for the first 3 days which I heard is the hardest. I'm switching to tylenol ES after Friday

I hope that helps!
