I am currently using scar guard and silicone scar sheets. I have very fair skin so I will probably be using it for a while. It seems to be doing the job so far.

I plan on using the silicone sheets also. I too have fair skin and have heard that scars can be more noticeable w/ lighter coloring. We will see. Good luck!

My PS gave me a bottle of scar guard and it seems to have helped. It doesn't look like I'll need to use anything else.

I'm about 2 weeks post-op and have been using Mederma as often as I can remember. My scars are still very raised and visible, so I'm hoping it is going to work!!

Wink

I've been using 100% Organic Rose Hip Oil and it's been working really really great! It costs $30US for a 10ml vial, but it's worth it!!

I just returned from my post-op & was told to take vitamin E capsules & puncture a hole & squeeze some of the oil out & rub it on the scars then to take the rest of the capsule by mouth. I'm going to try it & see how it works.

Some stuff the ps gave me called LIPIKAR BAUME by LA ROCHE-POSAY
they say it works really great. I didn't have to buy it, they just gave it to me so its not like they were trying to sell it to me, I assume it works

I'm using CVS brand silicone scar sheets! LOL! I'll start off at the bottom and work my way up.. Shoot, if this works then it will save me $$

Plus, they were the only brand sheeting I could find between Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart and K-Mart

I've been using serum my sis gave me from skinmedica. Its very pricey but I guess its used for burn victims to regenerate tissue. I have only used it for 3 days and have noticed the scars have faded, where the stitches were is barely noticeable.

Just ordered this online 2 minutes ago... I read a lot about different silicone sheets and this seems to be the best!! Can't wait to use it!!

Oh, and a little question, how often are you putting the cream on?

For stretch marks I waited like 4 weeks before I used anything. Then used Jason 45,000 Vitamin E oil. Within the first 3 times using it, my stretch marks disappeared.

For my incision, since I did have a hematoma, I have one raised and one not. I used bacitracin after I get out of the shower. Bacitracin is the active ingredient in Neosporin and costs about $2 at walmart. The neomycin is what causes the allergic reaction in people. It causes redness and puffiness. (I learned this after a cuticle infection). I have been using Mederma in the PM but noticed the Bacitracin works a lot better at relieving the redness and smoothes it out better.

I did use scar guard a few times but did not like the way it leaves a film. It is like Mederma. You have to scrub too hard to get it off in the shower and I still almost 2 months out get zingers from this.

I don't like pain.

my ps have me some of the silicone scar sheets and told me to use it for the next two months 24 hours a day unless I'm in the shower. Have any ladies used this and does it work? How long?
