just an update....

so far, i have been REALLY happy with the scarguard. i know a lot of girls say it peels (and yes, it does STINK), but i leave it on for a few hours to overnight and just peel it off, let my scar breathe for an hour or two, and brush more on. there is actually a section of my scar that is invisible! the rest is a thin, pale, flat line that you cant even see unless you are super close up.. when i look at myself in the mirror, you can't even see a scar line.

i also was using mederma, and occasionally use it when i forget to use scarguard, but i would use scarguard over mederma-personal choice.

I have been using Kelo Cote for a scar that I had on my back. My dermatologist told me about it. It has worked really well. I plan to ask my PS if, and when I can use it on my crease, once I have them done. Only two more days. Yeahhh.

ANY REVIEWS ON DR. BLAINE'S SCAR CARE TREATMENT??

I just bought this product the other day. I've been using Scarguard MD, but wanted to know what ppl thought about this product. I bought it at Walmart.

My PS recommended Mederma. I have been using it for 3 days and I swear I already see a difference in the color. My scars are always more purple then red at first but they are about 50% less purple than they were a week ago. So excited! Hope it keeps workin well

I'd like to know this too! I bought it like 2 days after my surgery and haven't been cleared to massage my scars yet.

My PS told me not to waste my money on expensive creams. He said I can just buy V-E soft gels, and bust the capslues. So Since Monday that's what I've been using.

Pure V-E.

I used cocoa butter, and a cream with Vitamin E in it.

My grandmother had open heart surgery in May and her doc told her this week to buy the vitamin E caps and break them open and rub on her scar, just like Zodiac said.

LOL...we have the same PS and he didn't tell me to use anything!! He just wants me to massage my scars. I do know the cosmetic derm in his office had his wife use silicone strips on her C-section scars. I'm friends with her and she says you cannot even see that she's had a C-section.

I've decided to massage my scars and entire breast with this organic shea butter body butter which only has vitamin E and lavender oil in it. I am also taking a vitamin E supplement everyday. Going to order some silicone strips though and maybe wear them during the day once I switch over to underwire bras.

Biodermis patches are the BEST! My friend used them, they go on like a sticker and last for awhile. After using them she has no scars. I will start the patches myself in about 3 weeks.

They sell patches, areola circles, archor scar shapes etcetc.

www.biodermis.com

Good luck and happy healing!

I've been using Scar Guard, it's pricier then other options but i've noticed a difference with it. But nothing dramatic.

I used Mederma and you can buy it at CVS for about $20. It has been working great for me so far.

What color is the mederma gel???

I ordered a bottle of Scarguard online but it wont be here for a week I'm guessing so I was going to use my tube of mederma while I wait. I just went to put some on since I got my tape off today and it's expired. It's also got a yellow tint to it and I kinda remember it just being clear with no color at all. If the color is right Ill still use it, if not I'll just wait!!

Thanks!
