![]() | Do i have the booby blues?
I so told myself that i'd not get the blues but i think i have them da*mn it! i am just sluggish all day, no energy, my kids are driving me crazy (i do love them ) i just feel like i need a day to rest. i am a little weepy too. i've been off meds for 2 weeks now?! i can't exercise and it is driving me CRAZY... especially since i work p/t at the gym and see all my friends coming and going and leaving all sweaty and feeling good. grrrrr. i just want my energy back, is it normal that i'm still so tired?

Anne I am about the same post-op as you. I feel the same...grumpy, easily agitated and I too like to go to the gym like 5 days a week and have not been able to work out the way I want to. I think this really could be a contributing factor to how we feel. But I still love my boobies!

![]() | Hey girl, I am sorry you are having a rough time right now. I myself am a very active person and miss the gym terribly I had plans to be recovered in time to run in a marathon mid August, but that's out the window for now considering my situation and awaiting another surgery. As for being tired, there could be a million reasons why and some of it may have to do with the healing process still, hormones, kids If the sluggishness is concerning to you, I would let the PS know just to be sure and it's also a comfort to here them verify everything is normal and okay. It will get better girl and you will be released back to gym and everything else in no time, just hang in there! ![]() Rae |

Sounds like boobie blues to me...honestly I don't know how you girls are going through all this with children at home, I'd be tearing my hair out. Obviously you have more patience than I do!!!! You should be proud that you are accomplishing all this right now. Gym will come later. I know how ya feel, though, I have a brand new weight training machine at home and can't even use it. Every time I walk by it makes me want to cry!!! I know if I could get on it I'd probably be back to normal emotionally and physically. Hang in there ladies... Terri Caligirl TC |

I think I posted this same thing at 2 weeks out. I'm a runner and was itching to be active again. I was just plain old frustrated and started wondering if I would ever feel normal again! It was about 4 weeks when I felt back to normal. I'm 8 weeks po and back to the gym and running. Makes a huge difference! Hang in there!! |

Hey girl!! I find when I don't get to exercise that I am more weepy, grouchy and tired. I bet once you get back to the gym you will feel back to normal. |

yeah, i think for sure you got the blues. I think week 3 and 4 were the hardest for me because i was not in any real pain, but i had trouble sleeping and was in general tierd. It is hard getting back into the swing of things for some of us. Don't worry, it will pass and soon enough you will be back in the gym full of energy. Give it a couple of weeks and you will feel great!

Honey, I found exhaustion and the inability to sleep. to be the biggest challenge of my recovery. You are definitely normal. Hang In There,

Sure sounds like the boobie blues to me. Darn that you had to get them! At least you know its normal. You know they'll go away. Plus you know you have beautiful new boobs to look at whenever you're feeling down. The tiredness too is normal. I'm sure you slowed down as much as you could, but I do remember your post about overdoing it one day..... And I just bet you've still been doing more than maybe your body was ready to do - 'cause you are a MOM, and that's what Moms do. So, yeah, you are tired. This will pass. You will get back to your normal level of energy and activity. Your kids will be fine, too. It's good for them to know that Mommy can get tired and need some time for herself. What will your PS allow you for exercise? Walking? That's better than nothing! Take those kids out and go for a walk. Get fresh air. Get your blood pumping without overdoing it. I hope you feel better soon! Annie |
