Update on Oblong/square boob.

So here is my previous post:
Tomorrow Right Becomes Round

Time for me to go under the knife again. Gotta say, I am not as anxious this time around. Probably cuz all my PS has to do is go through the old incision and suture up the muscle. No more oblong/sqaure boob look on the bottom. Righty will be round and will look more like her sister.
PS said recovery would be much easier this time around...I HOPE SO!!! I hope I am only out of commission for a few days. Not to say I will be doing a darn thing with my right arm....lefty will be doing all the work!
Wish me luck ladies.

UPDATE:
While my PS was in there he discovered the enire implant was ruptured. AS DR M stated, it was like a loose silicone floating in my breat.
He and his office staff have no idea why this may have happened. They are sending the implant to Mentor for analysis.

What I thought would be a fairly easy recovery jus got longer. AHHHHHH

They way he described it was that a mass of silicone was just sitting in my brest, which more than likely lead to its oblong shape.
They are sending the implant to Mentor to see if they can figure out why it ruptured. He said he flushed my inside with antibiotics as well as the new implant. So yeah, now I have to recover with the newbie righty. It hurts a lot, but will still be easier than the original.

Marieh!!
I can't believe the implant was ruptured and that it was just floating in your breast.
That really scared the crap out of me, I thought if it did rupture it stayed inside the shell.
I'm glad everything went well, I hope you have a speedy recovery!!

They showed me the implant, and from what I can recall, I was groggy, I was still a mass but it looked like areas of it had been toen of that makes any sense. I do not believe the silicone leaked anywhere.

It seems like many of us who got our implants at the same time are now experiencing some setbacks. I'm sorry to hear you needed a repair, but it sounds like it was a blessing in disguise. I do hope your recovery is better this time around!

Is there a February implants jinx going around, do you think? Yikes!

Hope your healing goes quickly, Marieh, and no more problems ever!
