Vicodin i KNOW makes me nauseas. is there anything else i can ask my doctor for?? i guess this is more like a poll... what pain meds did you take and how did htey work?? thanks!! I was the same way, Vicodin made me very sick on my stomache, so I called and they called me in Darvocett, which did nothing for my pain, so I decided to switch back to the vicodin, I just made sure that I ate a heavy meal before taking them (vicodin) and I was fine, as for the darvocett, it was like taking regular tylenol! Hopes this helps and that you find releif!! Hugs, Jennifer P.S. Mabey ask for another med like tylenol 3 with codeine, your PS would know better what you can take!! |

I got unders and the muscle relaxers were great (i also had vicodin and anti nausea meds). If you're getting unders they might help if your PS will prescribe. Only 1 more day! Whoo hoo!

![]() | Meds
Well, I am the same way normally. BUT, my PS prescribed me a "anti-nausea" suppository to use w/my meds 1 hr before my surgery. So, I did, and it TOTALLY worked. I did not feel sick ONE time! That was my biggest fear was the feeling sick part. He had prescribed me Percocet as well as Valiums. Valiums have been known to make me nauseous. But, anyway... after the surgery I actually started taking Norco's (1=2 vicodin) and Flexerils (muscle relaxer) in which my Mother in-law gave me. THOSE combined worked WAY better than what I was prescribed. I think the anesthesiologist put some anti-nausea meds in with my local anesthesia meds as well which greatly helped as well. Good Luck |

![]() | Percocet
I have percocet and its is working well for the first 3 hours or so but it starts to wear off so I take 2 advil until the next time I can take the percocet. I also take a muscle relaxer twice a day. I have no nausea.

Valium helped me for nighttime. I mostly took Percocet for the bad pain and vicodin for less/moderate pain though both were like the same. I just made sure to eat something b4 taking it.
