What to expect at 3 weeks post op...

3 weeks after my BA I have got quite a lot of stuff on - My birthday, family do, a wedding etc. What can I expect them to be like at this point? I'm hoping they won't be really high and odd looking, and the swelling will have gone down quite a bit? Also having a nipple lift so worried about people hugging me?!
Thanks

Hey

I'm almost 3 weeks post op - I went out after 9 days for a couple of hours and was in quite a lot of pain (not sure whether it was the bra, my heels or the fact that I'd not taken strong painkillers so I could have a couple of glasses of wine!) They did look a little swollen and high up looking from what I remember.

Now I'm almost 3 weeks, I went out again at the weekend and felt fine apart from the odd twinge. I wore a long relatively low cut dress without a bra and thought my boobs looked fine and got the odd compliment!

The thing is everyone drops/fluffs at different times so difficult to predict how they'll look but they certainly may have softened up a bit by then. I can just about manage to push them together a bit more now and it's nice that they don't feel like rocks anymore!

Yeah be careful about hugging! Most of my mates know so it was ok but one guy who I hadn't seen in ages squished me and I let out a little yelp! I said I'd overdone it at the gym lifting weights ;-) x

Everyone heals at different rates, and remember, each breast will heal differently too. I'm almost 4 weeks and I'm just now feeling okay. Rightie has always progressed faster and easier than leftie. They have softened and aren't as high now and if someone hugged me, I guess I could tolerate it.

I know if it were me I'd have had a hard time doing all those things you listed at 3 weeks. But I had multiple added surgeries too. I think one thing I wasn't prepared for was the emotional part of it all. Post-op depression can happen to some, as it did for me. So just take it easy, and hopefully you'll be fine

Oh and I'm still wearing the sexy sports bras hahaha. Can't wait to buy something nicer. Good luck!
