![]() | right breast soreness and hardness
Hi, new here and glad to have found something like this. I really went into this blind I think, not my usual anal researcher self...Anyway...I'm on day 7 now from a nipple incision, silicon textured anatomical implant and am not even sure if I'm over or under the muscle. I've emailed my surgeon to ask. My left breast is healing very nicely though mornings are still very sore. I'm however worried bout the right one. Its more sore than the left and feels 'fuller'. Walking really bothers me mainly it seems because of the movement of the compression bra I wearly constantly against the breast and the band underneath the bra brushing against the bottom of the breast. This effects really only the right one. The left brest I am not so aware of. The right side of my right breast is pretty numb and still quite sore to touch. I had drainage taken out on day 4 after surgery which I'd think was enough time but is it feels like almost any moderate movement with the the bra on is very uncomfortable with the right breast. With the bra off its much better. The two breasts look identical and I can't see any difference. But is it normal to have more pain in one than the other and at what point should I get worried? Are there any signs that I'm not healing properly? |

It is normal for your breasts to heal differently. You have to think of breast augmentation as two separate surgeries, one on each breast. If you are in a lot of pain you might want to ask to be seen. IMO, around 7 days post-op you should be off of your pain meds. If you have a fever or your breasts are red and hot to the touch, or if they have any draining at the incision sites - those are signs of infection. What you describe sounds normal to me though. If you think something is going on, you should always see your PS. Let us know how you are doing. Welcome to the forum! |

My left breast was way sorer than my right one for quite awhile. It's quite normal for them to heal at different rates.

My ps told me my left would probably heal quicker, since she had to do a bit of extra adjusting on the right -- I wasn't symmetrical, so she had to do more correcting on the right. In fact, she lowered my crease on the right. Part of your difference may be the different work the surgeon had to do. Sounds all normal. |
