Well, I'm a little over a week ahead of you, and I have to say that the nipple sensitivity that I have is a lot more than I had pre-op. However, I don't really mind that because before it's like they were dead. Now they're actually alive and they feel great! As far as numbness, I still have a tiny bit on right side under my nipple, like on the underside, but my left one is not numb at all...

However, because of all the variables, such as who did your work, their technique, your body, your healing, and different things, your mileage may vary.

I am 3 weeks and 3 days out..My nipples are still sensitive, but not like they were in the beginning. While I am at work, my nips absolutely kill me but I think it's because I'm wearing a little tighter of a bra, a scrub top, and a long sleeve shirt. I change into a more comfy bra when I get home, and they feel a little better. One of my friends got her boobs 6 months ago, and she says she still does not have sensation in one of her boobies.

Hi, I had my surgery the same day as you! I still have increased nipple sensitivity, and numbness around the bottom of my breasts. The nipple sensitivity is surprising! The numbness is not like a complete lack of feeling-- I still have feeling, but just that numb sensation. The skin is still kind of tender down there too. I think it's still normal at this point.

I started getting sensation back after about 4 or 5 months. I have full feeling now and keeps getting better.

Thanks for the replies ladies. My sensitivity and numbness has gotten so much better! and I'm so happy about it! Not being able to feel anything anymore would suck, especially during cuddle time with my boyfriend I'm a month and one day post op now & all the numbness is gone, but I still a little sensitive.

My PS said it can take up to 2 years for full-sensitivity to return.

I am only 5 days post-up, and I do have sensitivity in my nips. However, directly below them to the crease is pretty numb (crease incision) - though it's gaining sensitivity everyday. I'm perfectly fine if the bottom half my boobs are numb as long as my nips work.

2 years...that would be horrible & I totally agree that the nips have to work

I'm 3 days out from my BA and my right nipple seems to be normal but my left nipple is totally without feeling. I can't even feel the cold from my ice pack. No numbness in either nipple and the rest of the breast is tender. Is this normal?
