![]() | Bloated or did I gain real weight?
Is it normal to be bloated for 2 weeks? I am normally about 145lbs, though I fluctuate ~10lbs easily. I weigh 168 right now?? I have only had 2 BM's since my surgery. But can I really have that much err.... "bloat" in me? ![]() Sorry for the thread repeat, I know it's been asked 32898492359 times, but ... yeah. It's also everywhere! My mid section looks 5 months pregnant, my rings don't fit and hell my shoulder even feels fat. |

Are you drinking lots of water? That will help with the bloat. And yeah, the average human body can hold 20lbs of pooh!! Gross huh?!

Unless you've had a tummy tuck along with your new boobs (and I don't think you did, right?) then all that abdominal swelling is probably due to not having enough bowel movements in the last 15 days. Only going twice in that time can totally contribute to the bloat and weight gain. Are you doing anything to help move those bowels along? I swear by Miralax, daily. It's really gentle, never causes cramping, and just lets you take nice easy BMs every day. Pear nectar juice also does wonders for this (recommended by my PS' nurse). And slam the water, too! You will get through this. Once your GI system is up on its feet again, I'm sure the bloat and weight will disappear quickly!

Drink lots and lots of water. Also, I would recommend getting some MiraLax, you can get it over the counter now. It really does work with BM. I finally had to drink some about a week after my breast augmentation. I just couldn't go on my own. HTH |

Oh, totally honey. I'm fortunate in that my weight stays the same, but I was 10lbs heavier post-breast augmentation. Once I was "regular" again, it completely dropped back to normal. You might need a laxative to get things going again. Just be sure to take it at a time when being near a bathroom won't be a problem.

Phew! I kept reading people saying by 10 days they were normal. So I was starting to panic. I normally have issues there anyways, so... this has been a bit of a struggle. I've been drinking water, and taking a stool softner. I'll try MiraLax. I went looking for pear juice so I'd have it on hand but no luck? Is it an issue taking MiraLax daily Wocky? To be honest, the two I've had were not natural at all. |

The stool softner wasn't enough for me ... if you have issues there to begin with (I sometimes do), it may not be enough for you either. I used Dulcolax. Two pills. That stuff is STRONG. But I was so backed up that I really needed it. The two days after taking it were "fun times." HA. Not. But I was good to go after that. It just needed to be done!

![]() | Understand
I understand how you feel. I wanted to stop eating because I am getting so bloated and I want to stop the pain meds but now I am having more pain because of the whole dropping thing. So tell me what I need to have my husband pick up on his way home from work. I want to get back to normal and have regular BMs again so give me the names.

It's totally fine to take Miralax daily for 7 days max. It's very gentle...it's not like your typical laxative that sends you running in pain for a toilet. And sorry if this is TMI, but I was so worried that my first poop would be hard and painful, but I think due to the Miralax and drinking LOTS of liquids, it was the easiest and gentlest poop ever! ![]() As for the pear juice, it's usually called "pear nectar juice" and is in the juice aisle of your grocery story. It's in cans (not a jug). Good luck! |

I have cut back on the cokes as PS said it can make you dehydrated which is the last thing I need. I have only been drinking koolaid and gatoraid and lots of it. Will probably have my husband pick up some more koolaid when he goes to get me my laxative. Poor guy I hope he knows how much I truly love him.

Not TMI at all! I guess it's probably right by where I get my Kern's Nectar cans. Dur. I'll try there. I will also get some Dulcolax. I need strong. Thanks Ladies. |
